Today I came across an interesting video, well, I had it on my browser for over a week, but just today actually looking at it, that featured a discussion on race that Oprah Winfrey conducted on one of her old show's taping. I was fascinated by how it went...

What I find even more fascinating was the findings that her guest Dr. Jane Elliot discovered about racism over her decades-long career.

I guarantee, everyone and anyone who watches this video, especially, will learn something from it...

To those who have watched it, let's discuss the discoveries in the study.

This lady is amazing. Someone on this board told me about her and her experiment with the brown eyed and blue eyed children way back when she was teaching kids. Watching these videos further endears her to me. She actually "gets it" with no excuses or apologies.

I'm currently in-between watching her original video with the kids, this was back in like the 60s or 70s or something. Apparently there was a follow-up of those kids now grown up watching them in the study. Halfway through it.

Will post it once I'm done. Don't want to post what I didn't watch.

Don't have time to watch the videos, but I bet they don't have anything to do with racism.
Probably about discrimination and prejudice. Both are natural for self preservation and our right as personal privilege.

Will you still defend them when you are on the losing end? Ever find it strange when the KKK complains about reverse discrimination after holding the position that discrimination is part of the right to self-preservation of a race? If that's the case, then why would they say it's not right for whites to be subject to prejudice and discrimination?

At some point, wouldn't it be better for people to just be individuals treating other individuals fairly and without prejudice and discrimination?

Jane Elliott is s sociopathic sadist who gets off on insulting people by proxy, why the fuck would any sane person watch a video about her technique?

I wouldnt be so eager to admit being ignorant. Racism is definitely what she is talking about. The word "ism" literally means system. Racism is a system built to benefit a particular race. You more than anyone need to watch the video.

Because if you dont watch it then it means you are afraid of learning anything. Not to mention probably insane.

Keep telling yourself that.

My post was about individual preservation. I could care less about preserving any race.

I do treat individuals fairly, for the most part I ignore anyone I don't know.
I don't call anyone names, I don't harm anyone.

I go about my business and let others do the same. I don't acknowledge other's presence and prefer they don't acknowledge mine.

I think that's fair.

No it doesn't.
Are you by chance bipolar? You swing from normal to stupid like it's your job.

I'm not part of any system. I prefer live and let live.

I don't mess with people and I don't want anyone messing with me.

If I walk into a store, restaurant, etc and don't like what I see, I don't make a scene, I turn around and walk out.

I consider it my privilege to discriminate.

So you freely admit that Affirmative Action is racist? Thanks.
