But then you can gradually increase the weight and be building strength. Shoot for 50-80 reps, then go for real weight lifting.

So many buffoons in the gym that It’s distracting
That's not very much. You do 6 to 10 reps! How many sets? How long does this grueling work out take you? What's your max weight? At least add in some chest presses.
 
If you want to get results really fast, pyramid your sets.

Bicep curls 2x10x10, 2x5x20, 2x10x10.
Leg extensions, 2x10x30, 2x5x45, 2x10x30

Get the idea?

This is all you see in Mexifornia. Guys with muscled arms and torso, but their legs look like toothpicks stuck into a marshmallow. They are nothing more than characatures of themselves. It is to laugh at ..........frequently and excessively.

That's not bad. If you are doing body weight Dips, that is probably not good for you. The some pressdowns, followed by extensions.
