The only reason the Russians would have anything on a Democrat like Hillary is that they were all crooks and it was easy. Had it been Bernie and not Hillary, they probably wouldn't have had anything worth while. Unless of course they had dirt on Bernie's wife!
Do you actually think the Republicans would come out squeaky clean if they were hacked and leaked in a similar fashion? Thing is they almost certainly were hacked, but Putin kept that for another purpose: blackmail. The KGB were remarkably clever in the ways they blackmailed Americans to work for them, they have not forgotten how to do it just because they are calling themselves something different. Quit being such a partisan that you think your people are a more honest kind of politician.

Do even have evidence that the Russians hacked anything? Nope. Of course you don't! That is what makes all of your mental meanderings so pathetic. You cannot prove anything, so you just let your mouth run on and on without a filter.

Russian efforts to influence the 2016 US presidential election represent the most recent expression of Moscow’s longstanding desire to undermine the US-led liberal democratic order, but these activities demonstrated a significant escalation in directness, level of activity, and scope of effort compared to previous operations. We assess Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered an influence campaign in 2016 aimed at the US presidential election. Russia’s goals were to undermine public faith in the US democratic process, denigrate Secretary Clinton, and harm her electability and potential presidency. We further assess Putin and the Russian Government developed a clear preference for President-elect Trump. We have high confidence in these judgments.

 We also assess Putin and the Russian Government aspired to help President-elect Trump’s election chances when possible by discrediting Secretary Clinton and publicly contrasting her unfavorably to him. All three agencies agree with this judgment. CIA and FBI have high confidence in this judgment; NSA has moderate confidence.

 Moscow’s approach evolved over the course of the campaign based on Russia’s understanding of the electoral prospects of the two main candidates. When it appeared to Moscow that Secretary Clinton was likely to win the election, the Russian influence campaign began to focus more on undermining her future presidency.

 Further information has come to light since Election Day that, when combined with Russian behavior since early November 2016, increases our confidence in our assessments of Russian motivations and goals. Moscow’s influence campaign followed a Russian messaging strategy that blends covert intelligence operations—such as cyber activity—with overt efforts by Russian Government agencies, state-funded media, third-party intermediaries, and paid social media users or “trolls.” Russia, like its Soviet predecessor, has a history of conducting covert influence campaigns focused on US presidential elections that have used intelligence officers and agents and press placements to disparage candidates perceived as hostile to the Kremlin.

 Russia’s intelligence services conducted cyber operations against targets associated with the 2016 US presidential election, including targets associated with both major US political parties.

 We assess with high confidence that Russian military intelligence (General Staff Main Intelligence Directorate or GRU) used the Guccifer 2.0 persona and DCLeaks.com to release US victim data obtained in cyber operations publicly and in exclusives to media outlets and relayed material to WikiLeaks.

 Russian intelligence obtained and maintained access to elements of multiple US state or local electoral boards. DHS assesses that the types of systems Russian actors targeted or compromised were not involved in vote tallying.

 Russia’s state-run propaganda machine contributed to the influence campaign by serving as a platform for Kremlin messaging to Russian and international audiences. We assess Moscow will apply lessons learned from its Putin-ordered campaign aimed at the US presidential election to future influence efforts worldwide, including against US allies and their election processes.

You need to learn how to read intelligence summaries. Words such as "high confidence" means they have a gut feeling, but no proof.

That's "influence" being discussed throughout that document. Do you know what that word means?

I put the most important text in red, so you might see it.
You need to learn how to read English, specifically multi-syllable words like "declassified".

However, like others here, you are free to believe the Russians are innocent, that they didn't do anything wrong and we should just forget about all of this.

Did I say they were innocent? No. Please stop putting words in my mouth.

The problem with this entire "collusion" fairy tale is the assumption by a large group of people on the left end of the political spectrum that this shit doesn't happen every day and this is the first time it has ever occurred. They don't have the intellectual honesty to admit they have no definitive proof of any wrong-doing and ignore the recent information that shows that the Democrats are likely even more guilty of collusion with foreign governments to try to influence our elections.

I have bad news for any of you clinging to the illusion that any of this hacking is unusual. It occurs 24/7/365. It will not go away or change for the better.
It would change for the better immediately if you people were not grateful to Putin for helping put Trump in the white house. If any of you had an honorable bone in your bodies you would have rather won on the strength of policy and ideas, but you know that's a sure loss for a republican. Without fear and loathing and with optimism and empathy a republican is nothing but a democrat.

Hell I'd buy Putin a pint for helping us defeat Hillary.
Of course you would, you already let him have the last shred of moral standing the republicans had. Trump played dirty and won dirty and practically none of you feel any shame about that.

There is another thing you accuse Trump of doing that no evidence supports. Come on buttercup! Embrace the suck of backing a loser like Hillary!
He knew all those leaks came from Russian hacks and didn't care. Even if there was zero contact between the campaign and Russia (not) he still gleefully awaited the next wikileaks dump. It is almost certain that those leaks got him elected, which seems to be fine with you, but it's the equivalent in football to using a copy of the other team's playbook, sure you win but you cheapen the game. An honorable man would have not wanted to win that way and would have told Russia to butt out and not use their leaks. Even I would have respected Trump for that.

Please get some salve for that butthurt! It is not the same as using a copy of the other team's playbook. All those leaks just exposed the Democrats for being the hypocrites that we all knew they were.

As to your respect, that is a pile of manure you concocted to sooth your own feelings of inadequacy.

Is Trump a perfect president? Of course not! They don't make them. Is he better than that criminal Hillary? Damn straight! That is why I am happy he is in office and not her.

Name the pol who colluded with the Russians, rock.

The American people do not have to live through four years of an incompetent president nor even three years of an incompetent vice president that becomes president. Keep impeaching until we find a real president. America deserves better than what it has now, and gradually the Republican Party will agree for the sake of continuing the Republican party's good name.
If it didn't work for Bill Clinton, why do you think it will work now?
Clinton was impeached and found not guilty. Was Clinton a threat to the American people? Trump may well be.

Threat? You people are hilarious! Just shut up and go back and play with your blocks. The adults have things to discuss and your childish retorts are entertaining for a few months, but they are really getting tiresome.

Hell I'd buy Putin a pint for helping us defeat Hillary.

Trump might have suspected, but let's go with your idea that he "knew". Is that illegal? Did a single vote change because the Russians hacked the Democrats and released the emails to Wikileaks?

An honorable woman wouldn't have accepted a nomination she knew was bought and paid for.
Of course the leaks helped Trump, do you actually think otherwise? It's practically all he used to attack the Clinton campaign. Just because I think you supported a scumbag does not mean I think Clinton was clean, I am just continually appalled that republicans have jettisoned their morals for a scumbag. I speak of things like honor and integrity and you people are acting like they are alien concepts when they are crucial for establishing the legitimacy to govern.

Morals? How can you talk about morals when it is readily apparent that you don't possess any? "Hypocrisy follows:" should be the requied warning on the posts by every butthurt Trump-hater.

You dumbasses, now you got Mike Pence for president.

He is a leftist's nightmare,

Trump is moderate compared to Mike Pence.

If you get rid of Trump, you're in for a world of pain. Mike Pence is uber-right wing.
It's not only " leftists" that want Trump impeached it's the majority of Americans.

Not quite true. It's not like a court of law. There's no "not guilty" for impeachment. It's a vote. Now, he was found guilty of a few other things in courts of law including SCOTUS.

Actually the other poster is quite correct, and you are wrong.

Bill Clinton was impeached. At his Senate trial, he was acquitted.

The GOP have proven they're not capable of doing the right thing so you have a point.
When they've been willing to take away health insurance from 22 million Americans for political purposes, it's obvious they don't have the best interest of Americans in mind.

Explain how Trump could accidentally or intentionally launch a nuke, since there's a procedure in place called FAILSAFE.
Because he's in the grips of dementia, and has surrounded himself with people who would enable him.
Not possible. I explained the procedure in a previous thread. Most people here remember it. Don't put your foot in your mouth again.
So you're saying there are procedures in place to prevent an incompetent President and his criminal cronies from launching our nukes? Thank goodness

Yep, that's what I said.

So that's all it takes to make you comfortable with a crazy president? There are people who should be able to stop him from launching nukes? Really? That's all it takes?

Have you checked out the 2 man rule, CAC code procedures, launch code procedures and other precautions that cover crazy and accidental?

It just isn't true.
Hillary was a bad pick. She lost because she didn't go to campaign in the right States, just like she did when she ran against Obama and lost.

News flash....she won more votes. Three MILLION more. Also in any other democracy that would not be a "loss".
Irrelevant since she lost the electoral vote in states she overlooked, took for granted or just didn't care about.

No. I never implied that he was doing what they all do, simply because as far as I know, he did NOTHING, which is a far cry less than what has been documented on Hillary and the Dems.
Exactly, you claim Hillary did worse, and that's simple bullshit by a bullshtter, rock

Name the time Hilalry or anyone else met with Russian intelligence to get dirt on an American political opponent. your bullshitter

Look up the recent revelations about Hillary and the Ukraine. Again, for possible penetration, I never said it was the Russians! Why is that so hard for libs to understand?

The so called recent revelations are nothing more than the right making up or misrepresenting shit to try to cover for their on crimes. Standard AltRight procedure.
