Many years ago in England, a military leader told Parliament something like: "You guys aren't doing anything productive. So get out!" And they all did.

The United States of America is currently in a meltdown that may actually eventually result in a president sending the same message to Congress.

I doubt if cops will be abolished

What has happened is police have lost a lot of good will and trust with the public.

A jury will be less willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and a free pass

There halve always been bad apples with cops.
But there was also a blue line of defense where whatever cops did was excused.

But now, with everything on video, the standard defenses of “he resisted arrest” “he fell down” are easily refuted.
