Here are what I see as the HARMS of Immigration (in America). Feel free to dispute, debate, confirm, or whatever on any one or combination of these. This should be a good, rousing debate (but please try to stay on topic)

Harms of Immigration

1. Americans lose jobs. (especially Whites due to affirmative action).

2. Wage reduction.

3. Tax $ lost (due to off books work + lower wages paid).

4. Remittance $$$ lost. ($170 Billion year).

5. Tax $$ lost to immigrants on welfare.

6. Increased crime.

7. Increased traffic congestion.

8. Increased pollution.

9. Overcrowding in hospital ERs.

10. Overcrowding in recreational facilities.

11. Overcrowding in government offices.

12. Overcrowding in schools.

13. Decrease in funds available for entitlements.

14. Cultural erosion.

15. Overuse of scarce resources (oil, gasoline, fresh water, jobs, electricity, food, etc)

Who cares ? That's trivial. what is important is that we conservatives have been saying for years, that if you give amnesty to illegal aliens, you will be opening the floodgates for huge numbers more to come flocking in.

I think the Dems are just immigrant crazy, and they want as many as they can get, seeing them as VOTES for upcoming elections.

Well I like 25% idea tho I think it would be less than that, but your 10% returned is not realistic or fiscally responsible given our huge national debt.

I speak Spanish fluently, and have since 1959, when I lived with my grandparents who immigrated here from Central America (British Honduras). And no American should need to learn Spanish. The language of this country is ENGLISH.

If you cut spending by 20% I don't see why you can't cut taxes by 10%. Saying it's not realistic is like saying the current system is not realistic, yet here we are in reality spending more than we are taxing. Clearly realism wrt the federal government is not the same kind of realism force on us by the federal government. Additionally it's only a 5% cut since half the country are libs who would be checking the box to fund handouts for all and not receive the discount, right?

Here is last nights CBS Evening News report on the immigration meeting between Obama and Texas Governor Rick Perry. Story says Perry warned President Obama in writing in 2012 this was coming. Obama did nothing.

It is sad to watch President Obama trying to find a way to blame some one else for his "Pathway to Citizenship" idea. Unfortunately, we taxpayers will pick up the tab for Obama's folly.

Go to the home of a few unemployed people and see their kids who are going without Christmas presents, or warm jackets, or maybe even shoes, and ask those fathers and mother what they think about all the jobs they could/would/should have had if only an H1-B or L-1 worker wasn't taking it away from them (just so the unscrupulous employer can boost his profits with their cheap, foreign labor)

It is these people and THEIR suffering that is the crux of this, not some law on a piece of paper (written and upheld to feed employer GREED)
