In defense of convicted felon and Presidential candidate Donald Trump being at the golf course in the news recently -- he's a free man (with legal restrictions on his freedom). He will soon be sentenced (made to pay for his crimes), and until sentencing gets to walk around freely with restrictions. I don't know if he is still in possession of firearms. There are laws about this. Just ask Hunter Biden.

Presidential candidate Mr. Trump himself is a convicted felon and visits the golf courses that bear his name. Some guy named "Ryan Routh," who was shot at when a Secret Service agent says he saw the barrel of a rifle sticking through some bushes and a fence, has been charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person (he being a convicted felon), and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.

The man was shot at when a Secret Service agent says he saw the barrel of a rifle sticking through some bushes and a fence. This Agent was a few holes ahead on the golf course (500 yards?), ahead of candidate Trump

In furtherance of a suggested crime (if we can prove for a fact the guy named Ryan Routh planned on shooting Mr, Tump)? We shall see if the state will charge, and be able to prove Routh's being at the golf course as being an overt act, showing intent, to commit a crime. Minus that all we have is a man with a gun pointing through a fence in the vicinity of candidate Trump.

He's baaack!

Not surprised a dembot is jumping to the defense of one of their brownshirts attempted assassination of a political rival

You people are vile, threats to democracy

Defense of an attempted assassination? How weird is your accusation. Highlight words that defend such a thing. Go ahead. try

Crusty you need to make sure these hit men you give the contracts to go to the range a few days before the scheduled hit. Maybe stand in front of the target yourself to help the guy out....

All you people who claim to stand for liberty, justice the US Constitution.

The convicted felon Trump, and the convicted felon Routh was seen smiling and laughing with his lawyer ( as Trump was often seen) had every right to be at a golf course.

Now Routh, if he is proven to have been attempting to shoot convicted felon, candidate Trump will be dealt with at a sentencing -- after an indictment and a trial.

Actually what we have is a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. That's a Federal felony. The assassination attempt is in addition to that.

Fake thread title but it’s all the totality here has to rely on
What's fake about it r even the content of the OP?

please, enlighten everyone.

Is the man who has been arrested (recently), innocent until proven guilty? And of what crimes has he been charged?

Two convicted felons at a golf course.

Whoa! Whoa, Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!

Has anyone yet been charged with an attempted assassination? Under our laws and the US Constitution...

you know.

and the OP mentions what we know about the alleged crimes the man has been charged with

The man who has been arrested never fired a shot. Never had anyone in his sights as far as we know.

Isn't he innocent until proven guilty?
