Every mixed economy on earth thankfully allows mostly free rights to demonstrate their government and the elections are pretty fair.

The government doesn't have much of a choice. As the general said, this is the beginning of a war. The government will not turn the streets over to mobs.

The people don't want prosperity and capitalism. They want more and better socialism. The government should give them food and toilet paper. Tax the rich. Take it from the rich. Make the rich pay.

I'm no Socialist, but this is taking a few things and then saying it doesn't work. Well, there are capitalist societies that have used snipers on their own people too.... does that prove capitalism doesn't work?

Venezuelan Socialism doesn't work. That's for sure. But using a wide ranging thing is silly.

I'd say Socialism doesn't work to the levels that's I'd like, but Socialism in Eastern Europe was nowhere near as bad as in Venezuela right now.
