From the moment of his first inauguration in January 2009, he was expected to be a healer rather than a warrior.

Khamenei knows we have no intention of going to war with Iran at this time. There is insufficient reason for us to do so. That does not mean we are unable or too "chicken" to do so. We just don't have cause to do so.

I think Obama made the mistake of no supporting Green Revolution in Iran. That could have turned into an armed conflict and crippled the country much in the way Syria has been crippled.
