Is Biden going to do ANYTHING to lower gas prices since there is an upcoming election?

You want another release from the Strategic Reserve?

You all bitched about that last time

What other tools are there to use?
Report: Here close to Boise, ID, gas prices top $3.99 per gallon at the cheapest stations. I moved from Fremont, CA to here in 2019 and under Trump prices were about $2 per gallon cheaper and now in Fremont the cheapest prices are $5.19 per gallon. Thank you Biden for the harm you did to the oil industry. Also automakers on strike are angry their wages that supported them easily under Trump are far too low today under Biden. And the factories knuckled under to Biden to make electric cars and those take far fewer workers to make them. So if you love inflation, you will love Biden.

Already been covered throughout the thread. Read it or don't. We're done here.

I've reviewed your posts:

Most of them were debunked by other people.

The one thing that gets me is that in one post you suggest Nationalization, the in another you complain about too much regulation.

You don't make a lot of sense.

The pricing is still a global market. And because you take oil out does not mean it is the right kind to be refined into gasoline.
Assume the US passes a law that all oil drilled in the US must stay in the US. What makes you think the multinational oil companies won't still price according to the international market? Or are you now OK with the government interfering with business buy dictating prices and profit? How very communist of you.
Biden invented this BS about global markets to hide his contribution. Tell that to the Saudis for instance who pay about $2.31 per gallon. For Saudi Arabia this is very expensive.
Venezuela pays about $0.13 per gallon for their gasoline.

You don't know what you are talking about.

That has to be fake. EIA shows we are not at record levels at all.

Biden wants to drive down production of gasoline, not increase it.

It's the one thing I look forward to during election season. Gas is still about double from when he took over.
Do you anticipate any changes out of the administration to try tackling these high prices?

When did you become a socialist? Why is the President responsible for gasoline prices in a capitalist economy?????

I guess you're only a capitalist when it suits your narrative.

No it didnt. It went DOWN 12.8% and was DOWN for the first 8 months of his presidency. At one point it was down 61% under Trump. Under Obama the price of oil went up 173% at one point.

The only reason US oil production doubled during the Obama administration was because oil prices were high enough to justify expansion of drilling and exploration.

When he took over how your car is powered. When he decided to create conditions that announced to oil firms, stop adding to refining capacity and other stuff.

Meanwhile, Biden himself has blamed the American energy industry.

“At a time of war,” Biden wrote in an open letter to the industry on June 15, “high refinery profit margins being passed directly onto American families are not acceptable… companies must take immediate actions to increase the supply of gasoline, diesel, and other refined product.”

But US refineries are already operating at 94 percent of their capacity, with US refineries in the Gulf of Mexico running at 98 percent, which is the highest rate in 30 years. Running refineries at a higher capacity than that risks damaging the equipment. As such, Biden isn’t just wrong, he insulted some of the hardest working people operating in one of the most dangerous industries in America.

If Biden wants more American fuel, then he should allow the building of new refineries, right?

Your graph shows 2017 opening at $52 for the year and closing at $60.

Sure, Biden will send out his new Climate Brownshirts to silence anyone who speaks up. High prices are here to stay, there is zero incentive for anyone anywhere in the world to ease the pain. That's all due to Biden's war on fossil fuels.

Where is crude oil used? Do you fill your gas tank with crude oil?
The price of crude oil is reflected in the price of gas.

When he decided to create conditions that announced to oil firms, stop adding to refining capacity and other stuff.

Do tell.

On March 16, ExxonMobil announced the beginning of operations at the expansion of its Beaumont refinery, adding 250,000 barrels per day (b/d) of capacity, according to the company’s announcement. The expansion makes the oil refinery one of the largest in the United States as measured by crude oil distillation capacity. According to ExxonMobil, the total capacity of the Beaumont facility is now 630,000 b/d.

Our highest month of record happened when Trump was president. We are currently 500,000 bbls per day of gasoline short of what is needed.
