After the American victory of Tet, the V.C. was finished. They were out of troops and supplies. LBJ finally won his little war but wait. Cronkite flew to Vietnam and put on a helmet and flak vest and pretended he was under fire and pronounced the end of the war to be a "stalemate". LBJ apparently believed Cronkite and tearfully told America that he would not seek reelection and the V.C. got a reprieve. The mainstream managed to grasp defeat from the jaws of victory. Can they do it again? Not with President with a set of balls like Trump.
