Is there not ONE Democrat on this site who will admit that this mess is.....

Partially caused by your own party? I've seen many posts or threads by the right that is sick of some of the things the GOP does. Yet EVERY thread by the left gives their own party a complete pass and lambastes the right. Most polls show Americans are sick of EVERYONE in DC. But instead of taking that to heart you play stupid games with the percentages. Just yesterday I saw a poll that had Obama at 17% approval among independents. That is TERRIBLE. Yet every thread is about what everyone else is doing wrong.
Today I saw Alan Colmes say that he thinks there should be a 6 to 12 month delay on forced enrollment in Obamacare. And he's about as far left as one can be without falling over. How is it he can be honest but none of you can? What's the harm in the delay? The system is currently COMPLETELY dysfunctional. Even Gibbs admitted this.
Then we have the current shutdown. Boehner wont allow votes on Senate bills and Reid wont allow votes on house bills. Yet for some crazy ass reason that is beyond me the Tea Party gets the blame when it is ENTIRELY up to Reid & Boehner.
They are ALL acting like spoiled children INCLUDING OBAMA.

EVERY THREAD YOU MAKE blames it on the Dems.

YOU are no different.

I'm accused of the same thing. Blaming everything on the Republicans. The problem for them is that so many problems can be traced back to them.

Bin Laden - a mere six months after 9/11, Bush announced he didn't think about Bin Laden and wasn't looking for him.

Republicans were in charge of both houses during Iraq. The billions that disappeared. The American soldiers that died in substandard housing built by Halliburton. Blackwater. And so on. Republicans blocked any attempt at investigation.

The two times reconciliation was used to pass the Bush tax cuts during a time of two, count 'em, two, unfunded wars.

Reconciliation being used for the drugs for votes bill.

Wall Street deregulation.

The "plot" to break Obama. Even before he was sworn in.

Replacing established lawyers at the Justice Department with Christian college graduates.

The plan Bush had for making his secretary a Supreme Court Justice.

All the scientists that fled the Bush administration.

Using the IRS to go after the NAACP.

And what have they done for the country since Bush? Boehner said his job wasn't to make legislation, but to REPEAL legislation. So how many laws has he repealed? Zero.

This isn't the GOP that started NASA and built the interstate highway system. This is a party of "fools" and "tards".

I don't get the sense that the GOP wanted a simple delay. They wanted to use the delay to eventually kill it. Think about it. Anyone who compromises with Obama by tweaking ObamaCare but not killing it, will be removed in a primary. I also don't think Boehner was in control. His House was taken over by a minority of Tea Party members who see any compromise with Obama as treason. Their job is to obstruct and destroy a president who they feel isn't even an American citizen, let alone a good human being with different ideas about what is best for the country.

Reagan raised taxes numerous times and he saved Social Security. By Tea Party standards he would be removed. You're not going to find a compromise with people who believe the government and country has been stolen by an evil, socialistic, anti-American force. Reagan thought Tip O'neill was a good man whom he happened to differ with. The Tea Party doesn't think the same of Obama, who they regard as pure evil who must never be compromised with.

Obama and Reid had a choice: either allow the Tea Party to overturn the results of two elections, where more Americans voted for the candidate promising ObamaCare, or stand behind an existing law.

There was no compromise coming from the Right. Every Republican who compromises even 1% with Obama is going to have a brinks truck dropped on them in the next primary.

In terms of giving them a pass. I think that once the Public Option was lost, the bill itself was too flawed to support. IMO, Obama is feeding people into a broken, monopolized health insurance system which has bankrupted the middle class by raising premiums and diminishing coverage at over 5x the rate of inflation. When Obama failed to break-up the anti-consumer drug and insurance markets controlling our health care, I think he should have taken ObamaCare off the table.

I don't get the sense that the Republicans on this board have a fair minded grasp of their party's limitations. They've been conditioned to hate on Washington politicians, but there isn't enough criticism of say Bush. I cannot believe the spending that he passed when his party controlled congress. I can't believe that the Tea Party wasn't born with Medicare Part D, the Patriot Act, TARP or the fact that he did not veto one piece of Republican pork on his way to doubling the Clinton debt. Some of my conservative friends were critical of him, but I don't see much enlightened opposition here, on either side of the debate.

You think? Why does that make me laugh?

Decades of mismanagement have led us to this point. There are some in DC who wish to do the right thing but they can not overcome the machine. Only we the people can but most of us sit idly by making excuses rather than exercising our power with our vote.

The truth is that federal outlays will be back to almost normal levels as a percentage of GDP by next year. Spending is still a bit high, but it's not nearly as out of control as so many of you believe. Revenues are also increasing, but the truth is the federal government has rarely brought in as much as it spends. The key has always been to have the economy grow by a larger percentage than the increase in borrowed money. Of course, after the housing meltdown, everything went the wrong way. Spending exploded due to two unpaid wars, TARP and other bailouts, and an increase in safety net spending due to the meltdown. Of course all this happened at the same time that revenues dropped by thirty percent, thereby creating a perfect storm.

Here's the thing; we've weathered the storm and things are getting better. Our problem now is entitlement spending or the lack of revenue to support it. Outside of that, we have no terrible calamity. The sky is not falling, and we are not going belly up.

The truth is you are ignoring the long term problem, which is what this is about.

For what it's worth, I was watching Meet the Press today and they said a recent poll asked the question,
"If you could, would you replace every member of Congress today?"

60% of American's said "yes".

When are Republicans going to take responsibility and say....It is all our fault and we want to apologize to the country

They could say

"we are sorry Romney was such a poor candidate and unable to stop the current and future suffering that the American people will have to endure under Obama's administration"
