JFK Would be a Republican in 2016

JFK was a liberal. There are no liberals in the Republican Party today.

There are Liberals in the Republican Party.... Many if whom want and need to be liked and loved by Democrats and the media. The minority are the conservatives. Nixon was extremely liberal going so far to create the EPA. As for JFK, his economic policies are not what today's liberals would embrace.

Okay, which parts of this would today's liberals be opposed to:

Economy[edit]
The Kennedy Administration pushed an economic stimulus program through congress in an effort to kick-start the American economy following an economic downturn. On February 2, 1961, Kennedy sent a comprehensive Economic Message to Congress which had been in preparation for several weeks. The legislative proposals put forward in this message included:[6]

  1. The addition of a temporary thirteen-week supplement to jobless benefits,
  2. The extension of aid to the children of unemployed workers,
  3. The redevelopment of distressed areas,
  4. An increase in Social Security payments and the encouragement of earlier retirement,
  5. An increase in the minimum wage and an extension in coverage,
  6. The provision of emergency relief to feed grain farmers, and
  7. The financing of a comprehensive home building and slum clearance program.
lol Don't run off now. Let's hear your answer.

Dang it, he ran off.

How many Republican meetings have you attended?

I more or less attend one here every day. Who are the liberal Republicans around here? And I mean LIBERAL,

not 'to the left of Rush Limbaugh therefore liberal'.

Name them.

So the answer is no.

I lived in Mass. Northeast Republicans are liberals.
Many are in the Republican party because they couldn't get a position in the Democrat party.
I now live in Florida, in a heavy Republican county. There are some liberal Republicans because if your ain't a Republican here you're nobody.

If by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people-their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights and their civil liberties-someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal", then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal.”

But he also discussed the "80% Rule". Nowadays, if a Republican goes off the reservation at all, they scream "RINO!!!!"
.
But that doesnt mean that every use of the term RINO is illegit.

Paul Ryan and John McCain are RINOs. Period.
