Judge might censor Trump

Actually it's standard in high profile cases. It's to prevent the jury from being exposed to information they were not to consider. Most juries are not sequestered, and the defense could release inadmissible evidence into the media, in hopes it would infect the jury.
This is a misdemeanor beyond its statute of limitations.... what Jury?.... maybe Trump will get a fine and probation... a big maybe....

Trump, 76, has lashed out several times on Truth Social following the announcement on Thursday that he would face charges over alleged hush money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels.
But his freedom to respond how he sees fit is likely to be restricted when he surrenders and appears in a courthouse in Manhattan on Tuesday.
Duncan Levin, a former federal prosecutor with the Department of Justice, has warned that Manhattan's Acting Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan is likely to issue a gag order on the former president.
If Trump violates it by speaking about the case outside the courtroom, he could be punished for criminal contempt – which under New York law could leave him facing a fine of up to $1,000, 30 days of jail time or sometimes both.

Comment:
The Democrat Party is a dangerous banana republic fanatical cult.
Censorship is a symptom of totalitarian extremism.
Arresting your political Opposition Leader on flimsy charges is the kind of primitive political tactics that happens in third world juntas.
This is hurting the idiot Democrats more than Trump.
People understand what is really happening.
Are there any sane leaders in the Democrat Party who can guide them off of the rocks?

You've seen the charges in the indictment? I thought it was still sealed.
I am looking forward to seeing the charges. I bet there is something we don't know about, or the Trumpsters might be right. It might be completely partisan from NY, but in Georgia there is audio, so next the Trump faithful will have to change meanings of words. Then there are all those document in his cheap motel.

You mean like to libs changed Trump's words from "find" to "create"?

No not yet but people who seem to know have said this.... including Barr....
The people who "seem to know" are just taking a wild ass guess.
The people who know, can't talk about any specifics.

And Barr, is out of office, and nothing to do with NYS law.

I bet you could find several hundred million people in favor of a Gag order on Trump..with the only comment a hearty "About Time"!

BTW..Gag orders are extremely common in high profile cases where the parties wish to try the case in the media.
