There's Memorial Day and Veteran's Day. Yes, the military has protected our freedom, but it is not the primary focus of the day. The Founding Fathers said the day should be celebrated with fireworks.
Really Comrade?
No doubt you have a quote to back that up?
Pro Tip: Joseph Stalin is not actually one of our Founding Fathers, though he is the patron of your party.
I'm not opposed to the military being a PART of the parade. I'm just saying it's not the whole focus--we have 2 other holidays for that. As for the fireworks, every schoolboy learns that in 2nd grade. Where do you think the fireworks came from? You really didn't know that?
So, you were lying then? No quote to be had?
Such is the way of you Communists.
John Adams said that he hoped July 4th would be celebrated with "bonfires" and "illuminations." Anyway, fireworks on the 4th of July is as American as turkey and cranberry sauce on Thanksgiving. What have you got against it? You keep calling me a Commie. It seems to me that tanks are probably prominent on May Day celebrations in Red Square, Moscow and Beijing, China..
