Just Say It: Trump Is a Racist

Just as two persons can respectfully disagree as to whether something is "beautiful" or not, so too can two persons disagree as to whether something is "racist" or not.

Personally, I feel that President Trump is one of the least racially prejudiced politicians there are.

I shan't name names, of course, but there are many male and female politicians (of ALL ethnicities) who are truly racist but are able to hide that fact from their adoring supporters.

*****

In November of this year, Americans (citizens only, please!) will vote for the House of Reps and for one third of the Senate.

This issue of the President's alleged "racism" will no doubt be a big issue.

We moderates and most conservatives are good sports, so if the Democrats win big, we will be the first to congratulate them on their success.

Civility, my friends, civility.

The problem with that is to a Democrat, everything is racist. If you criticized DumBama in the past, you are a racist. If you criticize a country, you are a racist. If you voted for Trump, you are a deplorable and a racist.

“No one except Trump can know what Trump’s private thoughts or motivations are. But the public record and his behavior are now abundantly clear. Donald Trump treats black people and Latinos differently than he treats white people.

And that makes him a racist.

Is it possible to defend some of his racially charged statements by pointing out that something other than race might explain them? Sure. Is it possible that he doesn’t think of himself as a racist who views white people as superior to nonwhite people? Yes.

But the definition of a racist — the textbook definition, as Paul Ryan might say — is someone who treats some people better than others because of their race. Trump fits that definition many times over…”

Opinion | Just Say It: Trump Is a Racist

Trump represents his racist base well: Republicans and their unwarranted fear of immigrants, unwarranted fear of change, and their unwarranted fear of diversity.

Republicans and conservatives hostile to more black and brown people coming to America – rightwing racists and bigots who want immigrants only from ‘white’ countries as the right’s final solution to the ‘problem’ of black and brown immigration.
admit it jones....you think those named countries are shitholes too......

Trump was referring to the people from those places not the places themselves. It doesn't matter if they ARE shit holes, the people FROM those places deserve the same considerations as those from the much whiter Normay.

Liberals are amazing people. If they don't see or hear what they want to, they make it up.

Was the meeting about places for Doddering Donnie to visit or was the meeting about immigration and accepting people from other countries?.

What difference does that make? Are you trying to make a point of some kind?

Racist Doddering Donnie made the point crystal clear. No dog whistle needed. He only wants people from predominantly white countries.

No, he only wants people to come here that have something to offer. You people try to turn everything into race and that's why people get sick of having Democrats in power. It's the Boy that Cried Wolf in real life.

‘“Shithole was the exact word used once not twice but repeatedly,” Durbin said, adding that the word was specifically used in the context of African countries.’

'There's no other word but racist': Trump's global rebuke for 'shithole' remark

And in the context of making official immigration policy.

Trump’s wrongheaded, racist beliefs influencing the making of public policy is one of many things which renders him unfit to be president.

your refusal to answer questions about the threads you throw up makes you unfit to post threads.....care to comment?....

Another mindless, baseless liberal OP about Trump's alleged "racism."
All these liberal shitheads actually "know" about Donald Trump is what they hear and read from other liberal shitheads. Parrots don't actually think about what they are saying when they talk. They merely mimic their coaches.

“Donald Trump has been obsessed with race for the entire time he has been a public figure. He had a history of making racist comments as a New York real-estate developer in the 1970s and ‘80s. More recently, his political rise was built on promulgating the lie that the nation’s first black president was born in Kenya. He then launched his campaign with a speech describing Mexicans as rapists.”

Opinion | Donald Trump’s Racism: The Definitive List

That Trump is a bigot and racist is a fact settled, accepted, and beyond dispute.

This was the case before the “shithole’ statement, a statement that is further confirmation of Trump’s racism.

You've been reading too many funny books.

And of course Trump is not the lone racist in the GOP:

‘The rest of the GOP tries to get by with “Well, I disagree with the president about Moore” or “Moore doesn’t represent the views of the GOP.” That doesn’t wash. They remain in the party, and most continue to support the president. Trump’s rhetoric and conduct aren’t disqualifying for Sens. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), Ted Cruz (R-Tex.), House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.) or virtually any elected Republican politician. Trump’s pre-election displays of racism didn’t disqualify him from their vantage point, and neither will anything he says in office. They’ll back him again in 2020, if Trump is on the ballot.

We have come to the point, whether it is Moore or the president himself, that overt racism is not a disqualifier for the GOP. “But Gorsuch!” or “But the tax bill!” don’t suffice. Once you’ve made a vote on a key GOP issue the only condition of support, you have no basis for banishing David Duke, Richard Spencer or any other avowed racist, anti-Semite, Islamophobe or homophobe from the party. That’s where the GOP is today, and that’s why, in our view and in the view of a segment of Republicans who are drifting (or running) away from the party, the GOP is irredeemable. Trump will be gone from the political scene at some point, but all those who defended and rationalized his conduct and utterances will remain.'

Opinion | The GOP will now tolerate overt racism
