Kamala doesn't know history much less how economics works..

Only republicans want unregulated free market capitalism.

No, they only pretend they do. Look at how they got behind Trump handing out billions to the corporate farms.

Governments are the referees, courts, law.

Capitalism is the best ism but only if it’s properly regulated and not taken over by trump and Elon musk and silicone valley. And a Supreme Court who takes money from millionaires and who go along with stealing elections. Two Supreme Court wives are literally insurrectionists. One can assume so are their husbands. If only Mike pence went along.

Not much to disagree with there.

One more thing. Some things shouldn’t be privatized. Prisons, national parks, elections, social security, public schools. Doesn’t make us socialists.

How about you? You want trump to run America like a business? His businesses?..

LOL, better that than having someone run it who's biggest claim to fame is being a call girl for a politician.

You are reversing the script! We are asking you to elect WILLIE; you are asking us to elect STORMY, lol!

By definition... "Price fixing" "price gouging" does NOT cause "inflation"!
Anyone who disagrees with that statement... PROVIDE me proof that "price gouging" has caused "INFLATION" of all
prices, especially in the price of a loaf of bread!
Price before Kamala became VP which was: In 2020 loaf of bread $1.54
Price today: Loaf of bread: $2.54 in 4 years nearly DOUBLE the price.

How did "price gouging" cause nearly 100% increase in cost of a loaf of bread?
Thomas Sowell, one of my mentors in critical thinking, once discussed the pros and cons of price gouging and its limited affect using the example of Hurricane Andrew in 1992. Until supply lines and roads could be opened up, those in control of the limited supply of drinking water, motel rooms, other essentials did significantly increase prices and were thorough condemned nationwide for doing so.

Sowell had a different take on it. He said at normal prices, people would likely buy as much water as they could to use not only for drinking but for other purposes. And many would be left with no water at all. Make that water very expensive though and people would buy only what they had to have to survive leaving supply for others. Ditto motel rooms. A large family might rent two or three motel rooms at normal rates but make those rooms very expensive and it would likely choose to make do with one room leaving shelter available for others. Price gouging increased the availability of supply for many while not affecting prices for non essentials one bit or affecting prices anywhere else but the hurricane area.

Of course some will develop all sorts of anecdotal scenarios to rebut his point of view, but I got his point and it deserves a place in the conversation. We saw much of the same phenomenon in the early months of COVID when the toilet paper hoarders made it almost impossible to get for millions. And what toilet paper was available was selling for three to four times its normal price limiting how much people bought. But that temporary 'price gouging' was probably necessary to increase supply and it did not directly affect any other products.

Once the supply chain became normal again, the price of toilet paper fell back to close to what it had always been.

But artificially cap the prices nationwide and the overall affect will be to suppress production and distribution that invariably will eliminate jobs, income, taxes paid, and create shortages just as it always has. And because we are talking raw materials, transportation, infrastructure, and processing all being affected, it could take years or decades for supply chains to return to normal and meanwhile the reduced supply will of necessity become far more costly, i.e. huge inflation.

Vice President Kamala Harris on Friday is expected to call for a federal ban on price gouging to lower grocery prices and everyday costs for Americans in her first economic policy speech
Details...details... "the devil is in the details".

What price would Kamala suggest for a loaf of bread?
Price that was before she became VP which was: In 2020 loaf of bread $1.54 -------
Price today: Loaf of bread: $2.54 in 4 years nearly DOUBLE the price.
So what will the supermarket, especially the smaller neighborhood store in what are called.."food deserts" that don't have enough volume?
The small "food desert" grocery store will have to pay MORE to the bread delivery group because THEY won't be able to give the "food desert" store the same discounts they are giving the supermarkets which buy at a larger volume and the delivery cost is lower, i.e. gas, labor etc.
So what will happen to the grocery store? They can't raise the prices on anything as they are the last stop in buying bread, etc.
Kamala and all ignorant people don't understand how this works don't obviously understand what "price gouging" is.
The small local grocery store in the "food desert" will close!
Trump should sweep all 50 States
