Law abiding Wisconsinites afraid for their safety

Walker is an enemy of collective bargaining rights and he darn well will take them away if he gets the chance. But you and your ilk have been exposed for what you are, and now your power is waning forever.

Get used to being irrelevant.

"You lie! Walker did so take away collective bargaining rights from first responders....well, not YET, exactly....I mean, we KNOW he wants to, he just hasn't actually DONE it yet, but he WILL ! Hasn't done it yet, but trust us, he WILL, so really, it's just the same, as if he already did it, so I AM telling the truth....REALLY I am! Well, no, not exactly I'm not, but morally, it's the same thing....." Does that about cover it, Jake?

Let me see, it's not true but we think it will be, or someday might be, so it's true? Oh, what a tangled web we weave......

As I type I'm listening to people calling in on a local conservative talk show. One caller noted the lack of Walker support signs. The host said people need to get off their butt and put the signs out. Then his phones and email inbox exploded with the reasons people aren't putting Walker signs in their yard or on their car.

Law abiding Wisconsinites are afraid to show support for Walker.
Can you blame them? That guy is a corrupt sonofabitch. He's in the pocket of the Koch brothers.

Anyone who supports Walker deserves to have their windows busted. Maybe it will wake them up.

Stupid bastards.
Well seig fucking heil to you too brownshirt boy.

Maybe it would be justified to burn your car to the ground because you're acting like a fascist.

Sounds fair to me... how bout you?

:rolleyes: :cuckoo::fu::cuckoo::rolleyes:

Law abiding Wisconsinites are afraid to show support for Walker.

They're afraid for their safety. They're afraid their windows will be broken if they have a pro-Walker sticker. And they're especially afraid for the safety of their children.

An elderly caller said her tires were slashed and a hateful message left behind because she had a Walker bumper sticker.

THAT's what we're dealing with in Wisconsin. Some of these anti-Walker-ites are scary. Anti-Walker people feel free to talk as loud and as radically as they want, wherever they want. They make threatening phone calls to people who are doing business with Walker supporters. Anti-Walker teachers feel free to assign children to make drawings telling what is wrong with Walker. But parents are afraid to tell their children that they support Walker in case the child mentions it in school and is harmed in some way for it.

We've been living through months of this now. We don't want to let intimidation win. But some of these people have abandoned decency. You can't trust they know where the boundaries are anymore.

The Cold Hard truth is that is how Unions Operate. Intimidation, Mob Tactics, Bullying. They want Normal People to be afraid to show Support for anyone they do not first Endorse. They only Represent about 20% of people Nationally and about 35% in Wis, Yet they want everyone to answer to them. Everything is about them. To hell with the 65% that are not in Unions.

I think they just need to get some balls. I grew up in Ohio and if a threatening situation appeared we would grab the 1st lead filled billy club we could find. That is after donning our brass knuckles.

As the content of this forum plainly shows it is virtually impossible to reason with brainwashed right-wingers -- including those who aren't stupid. So how does one deal with the typical anti-union mentality?

The majority of anti-union Americans I've met are under fifty and have no idea that such things as the 40-hour work week, paid overtime, paid vacations and other typical worker benefits would not exist were it not for the efforts and sacrifices of the union movement. More specifically, the living standard of the American middle class would not exist were it not for unions. Even if their jobs are not union the only reason these anti-union workers are paid a decent wage is their employers' fear of a union coming in. And the reason why only 20% of contemporary workers are unionized is pressure on legislators by the rising corporate oligarchy.

Those who simply don't know what working for a living was like before the union movement, and what it could be like again if unions are successfully eliminated, should go here and learn some important facts: The Union Movement's Proud Past

And here is a list of entertaining and very informative movies about unions:

What you've clearly shown is you're a cowardly fuckin' douchebag.

Go ahead punk, make good on your threat and go throw some rocks through some windows.....And when someone chases you down with a baseball bat, and is repeatedly cracking it upside your fuckin' empty head for doing so, just remember pussy, you'll have no one to blame but your spineless self.

BITCH!

LOL... then you haven't a very broad experience in meeting people. Many of the people I met in my life are keenly aware of the benefits labor organization brought to them. Needed reforms back when we had 16 hour work days, with one day off a week IF that, child labor, dangerous working conditions and all the other rot out there.

Your film list is romanticized propagandist claptrap and you may as well have shown F.I.S.T. in that too. How about Upton Sinclair's "The Jungle"? That talks a lot about how unionization's communist roots are hand in hand with each other. Their proud past ENDED in the 1950's and early 60's. Since then, they've been more of a net drain on the economy fighting for sloth and greed as shown by the collapse of many heavy union industries in this country.

Rising corporate oligarchy? Pfft... you're totally ignorant of the abuses, or willfully blind to the damage your beloved unions have done with THEIR own little oligarchy.

The only problem with your rant is that it has been pro Walker individuals throwing rocks through windows and destroying recall petitions.

I wouldn't bet on it just being "your side" with the guns. This is Wisconsin after all...

Even here in San Francisco, the liberals are armed too...

I have an idea...how about nobody gets violent or tries to suppress free speech? How about a debate on the issues...without outside money influence?

Where's the PROOF?

I remember back when the Tea-bagging teatards were in full swing last summer. There were recorded calls to Dems from them. Threatening, there were news reports of teabaggers throwing bricks through windows, the teabaggers showed up to rallies with guns strapped to their bodies, while carrying signs that read "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants", then later on, when they didn't have the guns, they carred signs saying things like "We're unarmed...THIS TIME!"

Account, after account, after account, they were all reported, and posted right here on USMB...and ignored by the likes of you and your RW ilk. Excused away, mostly ignored.

Now you want to moan and batch about some made up shat?!?!?

Scott Walker made his bed and now he get's to lay in it. The reason why you don't see any signs supporting that lunatic in Wisconsin is because NO ONE SUPPORTS that lunatic in Wisconsin. He went to far, overreached...what he's doing is NOT what people voted for. Even Republicans are unhappy with him. All the polls bear this out.

GTFOH!!!!! w/your BS.

And good riddance to bad rubbish!

Walker should have taken the high road and either layed off several thousand teachers or raised taxes to solve the state budget problem. The Illinois Governor raised taxes and the New York Governor laid off state workers.

So far, Walker has not raised taxes or has he had massive layoffs. The jury is still out on how which approach is working best.

Not only has Walker not raised taxes or had layoffs of teachers, cops or firemen...he's managed to balance the budget whereas Wisconsin was looking at a 3 billion dollar shortfall before he took office. If "the jury is still out" on which approach is working best just compare Wisconsin to Illinois. Go ahead, libs...I dare ya'.

Did Walker and the lege give that 3 billion to big business in credits and subsidies that it took away from teachers, first responders, and other public sector workers? If he, then he is cooking the books.
