Do dreamers still think that infrastructure related jobs build the economy? I have gotten stuck at various times in the last three years by infrastructure construction on a truck lane on interstate 81. If you ever traveled through western Maryland you have to wonder when they will ever finish the damned infrastructure and likewise Pa. There is no shortage of infrastructure construction at least on the East Coast but it still doesn't translate to real jobs. Only the private sector creates jobs.
I've been though there many times. VA is adding truck lanes south of Lexington down to Roanoke.
West VA is adding lanes to make I 81 three lanes for the entire 25 miles. PA is moving along with the section around Harrisburg. There is a good sized project involving the second interchange( exit 66 US 22/322) as you travel north across the Susquehanna River.
MIght be funded by taxpayers, but work is done by the private sector.
As you say though, the jobs are temporary.
Believe me, there is plenty of work being done in Harrisburg. Each temporary job is being replaced by another project. The only problem being that the city is bankrupt.
