1.The passage of the Iran ‘treaty’ was arranged by individuals and groups, none of whom had American interests at heart.
By name….Obama, Kerry, the State Department, and Iran.

2.The Trump campaign platform:

“We consider the Administration’s deal with Iran, to lift international sanctions and make hundreds of billions of dollars available to the Mullahs, a personal agreement between the President and his negotiating partners and non-binding on the next president.”

“Without a two-thirds endorsement by the Senate,” the GOP platform continued in respect of the pact, “it does not have treaty status. Because of it, the defiant and emboldened regime in Tehran continues to sponsor terrorism across the region, develop a nuclear weapon, test-fire ballistic missiles inscribed with ‘Death to Israel,’ and abuse the basic human rights of its citizens. A Republican president will not be bound by it.”

The election in 2016 pitted two major candidates and required all 50 states to choose between them. One candidate, Secretary Clinton, had helped plot the Iran deal and, after she left office, had supported the work on it of Messrs. Obama and Kerry. She chose as her running mate a senator who led the boycott of the Joint Meeting of Congress at which Israel’s premier, Benjamin Netanyahu, stated the case against the pact. The Democrats went all in on appeasement.”
Trump Redeems a Promise

3. “Is scuttling the deal bringing us closer to war?

Just the opposite.

What the Iran Deal did was give the Iranian Regime a windfall, a cash windfall, and a business windfall by lifting sanctions, by allowing countries that have long wanted to do business with Iran, back in.

Germany, especially, the UK, France…all started…

We’ve seen the Iranian GDP go up, and Iran’s spending on ballistic missiles, on terror financing, on destabilizing activities, on wars in Yemen, Syria, ….all rose since the Iran Deal went through.

…re-imposing sanctions will reduce their ability to spread mayhem and chaos….

It will reduce conflict and the likelihood of war.”

There was a time the US was leader of the free world

Now, Trump has isolated us and the rest of the world moves on without us

Again, imagine it was 1935 and we had a choice to have a front row seat at what Nazi Germany and perhaps Japan was doing with it’s military industrial complex, a chance to mitigate it, prepare for it, delay it, or otherwise influence it or the path we took to simply ignore it and hope it didn’t hurt anyone…how would History have been changed? Maybe a little, maybe a lot. One thing is certain, we likely would have not been so surprised by their capabilities. Now here we are with Iran deciding to simply turn a blind eye to their nuclearization efforts and denying ourselves of any influence we may have had.

It is unclear what the prize is for the US.
Taking Iranian oil off the market is going to likely cause the price of gas to rise in a simple supply/demand formula.

Where are they moving to? Perhaps we are smart not to "move" to where ever it is everyone else is moving to. Thankfully America doesn't run with the rest of the herd.

In one case the TPP. Now, if you’re in the trade pact, manufacturers in those countries have reliable access to the markets of their partner nations. The rules are usually the same through out meaning that ingredients in the food you’re selling, components of the electronics you’re exporting, or labeling of the items you’re sending them are all pretty much the same. It saves your manufacturers money by standardizing the requirements.

Well, Europe gets more of their oil from the ME. Most of our oil comes from South America and Canada. Let the Europeans wheel and deal with the dirty ME countries and dictators. This is more concerning for them than it is for us.

Where?

They are moving along without us. Making their own deals, forming modified alliances that ignore US influence

Just like Putin envisioned when he pushed for Trump. A weakened Western alliance

Well? Isn't that what you guys want anyways? Good Lord. You people are the MOST contradictory hypocritical people ever in the entire world! You are always complaining about us sticking our noses in other countries' business unless it's done by your own party. Pick one.

That certainly is one way to look at it. If they start buying oil from the Iran…are we going to slap sanctions on them too?

Well, sanctions never work if everyone isn't participating. This has been the main problem with why sanctions do not work with Iran. We are not as "influential" as we like to think we are apparently.

This deal is stupid based on the fact that it is relying on the theory that the religious psycho leaders of Iran are NOT power hungry and greedy and will be humbled and grateful to the United States and others for "allowing" them and for "helping" them. First of all, these are a very "proud" people. That is why they are like FU to the United States and others. This is the first thing you have to understand.

Not sure what YOU PEOPLE have been reading. I am for foreign aid because it paves the way for American jobs. You lend money to Egypt to buy IBM servers and they do so. Then as they expand their economy, the loan is paid back. And as they expand their economy, they buy IBM computers, routers, modems, etc… It’s the simplest equation in international commerce. Pulling in our horns reduces our influence and China is ringing the door bell of every nation on earth with a briefcase full of money.

As far as “sticking our noses in other countries’ businesses”, we (or at least I) was talking about militarily. Now, we are on a collision course to do so both in Iran and soon to be in NK when they break the bad news that they are not giving up their nukes. In their eyes, it is the only thing that warts off an US invasion…

So was that a “yes”? We’re going to slap sanctions on Italy if they buy Iranian oil?

As for Iran,

If you were Iran, and you were at this crossroads that Trump put you at, would you ignore the US actions in Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, Niger, etc… (all non-nuclear powers) and shelve your program and invite the invasion?

Au contraire.

Of course they were working......that's why Hussein Obama stopped them.

The sanctions were strangling them.

This from the Left-leaning Brookings Institute...

"....the sanctions against Iran — and the context for them internationally and within Iran — have changed dramatically. Since 2010, the sanctions’ impact on Iran has been severe: its oil exports and revenues plummeted; the value of its currency eroded; trade disruptions shuttered businesses and exacerbated inflation. Quietly, a backlash emerged among Iran’s political elites against the country’s creeping isolation, and the June 2013 presidential election ushered in a moderate new president and the beginnings of a diplomatic breakthrough on the nuclear crisis — achievements that most observers attribute to the impact of sanctions."

From 0:17 minutes:

Reimposing the same sanctions that were allowing the Iranians to get closer and closer to a nuclear weapon? We've had sanctions on North Korea forever and look where that got us. What was Einstein's definition of insanity? Oh yeah, "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results".

Will Trump renegotiate a better deal like he has done for NAFTA, TPP, and Paris?

At the Munich conference where Europe sold out Czechoslovakia, even though France had a treaty to go to war to preserve Czechoslovakia…..Chamberlain was about to appease Hitler….and FDR sent this message to Chamberlain:
