Everything you just stated is why dumbocrats fear state sovereignty. The fact is, we should ALL be allowed to live in communities that allow us to live exactly how we want to. If liberals want their socialist nanny-state, they should all be able to congregate to San Francisco and New York to experience the cesspool of misery socialism creates. Constitutional conservatives should be allowed to congregate to Texas and other states that support conservative principles.

It's the dumbocrats realization that they are parasites and thus NEED all of us conservatives which has created the problem - they want all state and local government abolished (or at least irrelevant) so that all of us live under federal tyranny and thus have no state to escape to.

The upside to that is that they suffer when a Republican GWB is in office for 8 years.....

It's not that the conservatives don't try.

I lived just north on the border (Toronto, Mississauga, Burlington and Hamilton I'm a Golden Horseshoe girl) and in my rock days I spent a lot of time in New York. It's urban vs rural.

The liberal idiocy in the state is nothing short of stunning. Get me going on Buffalo and I'll lose it.

No money for school books but the teachers union gets the teachers free plastic surgery.

I mean it literally. The perk is included as a self-insured rider in its teachers' contract. Therefore, the district has to cover the cost of each nip and tuck itself. There's no co-pay, so the school district ends up footing the entire bill. It estimates the current annual cost at $5.2 million, down from $9 million in 2009.

This in a city where the average teacher makes roughly $52,000 a year. The plastic surgery tab would pay salaries for 100 extra educators.

When I say "New York" I mean the world's largest city - not the state (my bad - I should be more specific).

That being said, I personally would flee that state. Any state which elects Hillary fuck'n Clinton is NOT a state I want to live in. The only thing I can think of worse than that is Nancy Pelosi...
