Looking at all the Republicans victims, who suffers the most?

what Party is in power?
what Party has the presidency?
what Party controls 2 of the 3 branches of the law-making process??

gotta love left-wing losers admitting how irrelevant obama and democrats are; or how little they were able to "change" on their watch

This cracks me up....
The Libs go on and on about the atrocities that have been committed for all these 'Obama years' as if Democrats
were living on another planet and were not part of anything that has happened in the last 50 years.

When they feel they have something to brag about, they credit Obama. When they come up with stories like this, they blame Republicans even as far back as Reagan.

Liberals have always felt they can have everything both ways if they want.

Arizona sharply limits welfare to 12 months

Most states impose a five-year limit on welfare benefits. Thirteen states limit it to two years or less, and Texas has a tiered time limit that can be as little as 12 months but allows children to continue to receive funding even after the parents have been cut, welfare policy analyst Liz Schott said

Nothing like indulging the abomination of hypocrisy in public venues; right, Persons on the Right.

Arizona is an at-will employment State. Labor should be able to apply for unemployment compensation simply for being unemployed on an at-will basis in Any at-will employment State.

How long should people stay on welfare, food stamps, free housing, free child care.
How long Libs?

1 year
3 years
5 years....

Once on they're on for life....Nancy Pelosi prefers this....Great for economy she says.

How long?

A girl collecting plastic bottles from local parks in Arizona in 2012. Her mother was no longer receiving welfare checks because she had already participated in the program for the maximum amount of time allotted by the state. (I wonder what happened to her. Not that Republicans care)

And if Paul Ryan, the Republican lawmaker from Wisconsin who is expected to become speaker of the House, has his way, poor people in many other states can expect similar treatment in the years ahead.

Peter Germanis, one of the White House advisers who help write President Ronald Reagan’s welfare reform proposal of 1986, called “Up From Dependency.” He has been affiliated with the Heritage Foundation and the American Enterprise Institute, both conservative advocacy and research organizations in Washington.

Over the summer, Mr. Germanis published a startling confession. Writing “as a citizen and in my capacity as a conservative welfare expert,” he apologized for whatever role he may have had in the welfare reform enacted in 1996.

Arizona is a prime example of what has happened in states where Republicans rule. By now, only about nine out of every 100 poor families benefit from the cash welfare program, down from 55 percent two decades ago. This has nothing to do with the program’s objective of helping poor adults with children escape the stigma of welfare and get a job, still the best antipoverty tool there is. Arizona simply needed the money for something else.

-------------------------------------

I think it's clearly children who suffer the most under Republican leadership. A direct result of the "get 'em born, then fuck 'em, it's not my kid" political and ideological strategy of the GOP.

Here's an idea.

Get in contact with the person that wrote the story, find out who the girl and her mother are, and either adopt them, or send them a monthly check to cover their needs.

Maybe you can become the Sally Strothers of welfare moms kicked off the dole, and support those that either can't, or won't, support themselves.

Get a following.

Get some of those Hollywood types that vote for democrats to donate a percentage of their proceeds from their latest flop.

That was one of the first things that entered my mind while reading the story: there are no names here. I find that highly suspect.

And why is this girl collecting plastic bottles anyway? Do they give money for those bottles in Arizona, because they don't do that here. Aluminum cans, yes, but not bottles. In fact the city where I live discontinued the recycling program because the garbage company was charging us $90,000 a year to recycle, and we need every dime we can get.

I also suspect that the joker who wrote the article is only giving us some half-truths. Maybe that's why the so-called welfare mother remains anonymous.

Arizona does not have a bottle deposit, though California does.

All they have to do is move to California. They give everything for free there, and I betcha people would pitch in to buy them a bus ticket too! They could move to New York too if they want. I hear their welfare system is akin to getting over 50,000 bucks a year. Have liberals PAY for the way they want their state to be.

Agreed. I always thought since we are becoming such a divided nation, perhaps we should split up. Conservatives on one end of the country, liberals on the opposite end, and people in the middle in the middle of the country.

That would work out well for conservatives, but the only problem would be liberals trying to sneak in after about five years of total liberal leadership. With a massive welfare state, the businesses and wealthy would move out. Without firearms for protection, their side of the country would be a massive crime scene. With all their unions, inflation would be out of this world and nobody would want to deal with their remaining businesses.

Agreed Ray. Libs should be instantly picking up, and moving to Detroit also. Their ideas have created the Shang-ri-La that now permeates that city, and will soon take over Chicago.

You have to really laugh at the left. Whenever you show places their policies have been in effect the longest, they have either failed, or the taxes are so high, nobody with a business or a nickel in their pocket wants to move there. If Wall Street ever decides to leave New York for greener pastures, New York will collapse on itself also. Personally, I can't believe it hasn't, but I am sure it will change in the not to distant future.

It merely depends on implementation; they could go on unemployment for as long as necessary until they find suitable employment, in any at-will employment State.

It isn't about a specific Time, but until their is no longer a Need.

socialism is about equality, in the US.

You know I usually agree with you but are you kidding here? I hope her and her mama either went back to Mexico or I hope mom went and got a job.

Do you think they should be given welfare for life?

Does anyone here agree with you? Because even I don't. We have too many "disabled" Americans who "can't" work.

We have lots of charitable people who fund churches and worthy organizations here in Arizona that help those in the pictured situation. All blessings needn't flow from government and folks shouldn't be forced into kneeling and donating at the public alter if they don't believe.

Private charity covers multitudes of sins; it does not solve for official Poverty.

I believe there will always be a need for means tested welfare, for those for whom solving for a simple poverty of money, may not be enough. For the rest, unemployment compensation that clears our poverty guidelines for Individuals, should be enough.

We shouldn't abolish welfare but 1 year max is too short and 5 too long. Welfare for life was insane.

Get a job. If you can't work go on social security.

If you just can't find a job move. My grandparents came to America with nothing. These people already live in America. Get on a grayhound.

The solution is not welfare for the masses in poor ghettos. Get out of the ghetto. And don't have kids you can't afford.

why do you believe that; our science is not advanced enough to solve All problems.
