MAGA

If you wish to live in this country permanently, then you should appreciate and respect the freedom that was fought for. That is not weaponizing anything.
What of others that do exactly that, such as those that refuse to stand, etc, are they not weaponizing their disdain for our country through the National Anthem?
Will playing the magic song create more liberty?
Songs don't create Liberty. God created Liberty.

Patriots just enable and defend it.
Well, I don't have anything against it. The National Anthem still sends a little thrill up my spine. Every time.
It doesn't mean I have weaponized it, though, the way you have.
I have heard and read the term "weaponized" a lot lately. What, exactly, does "weaponized" mean?
Using the National Anthem to punish people, deride and slander people. Those who do not feel politically inclined to kow tow to it have that right in this country. There are a lot of political opinions in this country I don't agree with either, but I don't say they should lose their jobs or call them names because they don't take off their hat or salute the National Anthem.
Are they saying anyone should lose their job or that they're sick haters because they DO? You cannot turn this around.

Only ones who’ve weaponized the anthem are those who publicly piss on it.
I've not seen a single person piss during the Anthem. Not one.

As you note, there are many varied opinions in this country. We are all privileged to be here because we should all be able to express those opinions without fear of censure. Just as some express their opinions by not removing their hats, or kneeling when the Anthem is played, others have an equal right to express their opposition to those not kneeling, removing headgear, etc. Opinions might include demands for some action or response to occur. As long as the actions demanded do not require violence, no censure of any opinions should occur.
I am unclear just how playing the National Anthem punishes, derides, or slanders people. Can you provide some examples of the Anthem is used to accomplish those actions?
There is plenty of it in this thread. I have been called an America hater because I defend a person's right to kneel during the anthem and see no reason to call for their job because of it.
A couple of examples.

If you are a citizen of this country and you feel that you have been systematically disrespected and treated unfairly, you also have the right to show respectful protest during the Anthem without having a whole mess of bullshit slander thrown at you.

It is simply called peaceful protest and you supposedly support that right.

WBTV will now air the National Anthem shortly before 4 a.m. each day, which signifies the switch to a new broadcast day. We will also feature the national anthem during our newscast on the 4th of July.

WBTV to end each broadcast day with the national anthem

Great Again.
Nonsense.

America has always been great, there is no ‘again’ – regardless the playing of the National Anthem.
Obama’s first became proud of America in 2008.

That only was aimed at creating divisiveness.

And the Right takes a big dump on every founding document we have;
Exactly! In between the time when it's not playing they'll be shitting on the rule of law, the Constitution, The Declaration of Independence, and the Bill of Rights.

All protest creates divisiveness, for the people who strongly disagree with the protest-ees.

It's played every morning at our children's school. They all stand and then say the pledge and then are allowed a moment to pray.

Tell me what that protest gains? Nothing. You don’t like a policy, then lobby for change. Make a real difference. Not just an ineffective protest against our Anthem that has to do with none of their grievances. The song was written in commemoration of the winning of battle against the British, attempting to take the US over again. At that point they had succeeded in burning down Washington, DC, including the White House, etc, and were heading toward Baltimore. They failed, and the flag still stood over Fort McHenry. Francis Scott Keye, under good faith, trying to get them to release a prisoner, boarded a British ship, but then was held on it, and he witnessed the assault on Fort McHenry, from it. Fortunately, the British failed, he was released and he proceeded to put into poem what he had experienced, how the US still stood strong, the flag was still waving, after that battle, succeeding in keeping our independence, to be free from British rule.

So, no, a silent protest of the Anthem in no way succeeds in doing anything but disrespecting those that have fought to help keep this country free.
