Now I have them and I won't shoot unless my dog barks and the burglar alarm goes off.

This is just to recap my original post...sometimes people forget the intent...

For example...I said it would be interesting to see if either one had preached any anti gun sermons on guns...apparently Affleck owns guns because of a stalker episode...and Maher tends to be uber libertarian...I wondered if there was any anti gun opinions in their history...there doesn't seem to be for ownership..wether that goes to carrying guns is another matter...since if they were to be against carrying them for self defense and then they used private gunmen for their own security...that would be a problem...I am saying if here because I don't know....

Also, Affleck financially supports liberal democrats for political office who do support more restrictions on guns...so there is that...

This is not something I would support because, as I have pointed out, we have had this condition in the past...it changed nothing really in that the bad people used swords, axes, spears and bows to kill people, and the strong, and aggressive raped, murdered and controlled the weak...

Guns changed that equation...since they do not rely on strength to do damage, the old, the weak the single victim vs. multiple opponents...can all have a chance at victory...because of guns...

Getting rid of guns...destroys that chance...

You see this in countries that ban guns...Russia bans guns...and has a higher murder rate than we do...how do you explain that...dittos Latin America...

Yes, every day violent criminals murder innocent people...and other criminals...to the number of 10-12,000 people a year on average...

And everyday law abiding citizens use guns to save lives and stop violent criminals 1.4 million times a year...that number is derived from taking an average of all the gun studies numbers, I think I took the highest numbers from each, and came out with that number...it might be different, I have found a couple more studies...including one from obama's CDC that found 500,000-3 million times a year....

Guns save more lives than criminals kill with them...
