Michigan Rejects 846 Mailed Ballots 'Because the Voter Was Dead'

That's because republicans tend to declare people "dead" long before they die. The same way they declared thousands of people "felons" who were never so much as arrested. Their voter roll purges are notorious for erasing legal voters.
Horseshit.

Are you stupid or just trying to troll?

As you see, you can mail in both the application and the ballot.
A mailed in application is worthless. Your illegal alien gardener could have filled it out.
Just like an illegal alien can fill out a forged check.

But like the bank, the election board has your signature on file, and checks it against their records.

If a signature is good enough to guard against somebody forging a check, it's good enough to guard against somebody forging a ballot.

Banks keep a “signature card” on file at the bank branch where you opened your account. This is so they can compare your signature on file with any check presented to them, with which they may have authenticity questions. This is to prevent fraud.

Where is the signature card when every voter is mailed a ballot?

Are you saying they check 10 million signatures in the state of CA?

Yeah, right.

It's on your voter registration card. Idiot.

You have to have already been registered to apply for an absentee ballot.

For mail-in voting you don't have to apply for anything, moron.

Shows the system works

Quite opposite, it shows that risk of cheating is great and why it should be abandoned. Those are only that are caught, and how many are not?
Dead people, people who moved to other states, or cartoon characters wont show on polling places. There is only one reason why Democrats prefer mail in voting, and that reason is cheating.

As is a logical fallacy that they have a shoplifting problem if after making every possible effort they can only catch one person doing it.
That would depend on the shrink numbers after an inventory was taken. You're going off in the tall grass, unnecessarily. The point is, in any given illegality, usually only a small portion of people doing wrong are caught. This is common knowledge.
Not only that, but you've made the assumption that they've made "every possible" effort to catch shoplifters. Was every customer strip-searched on the way out?

Just go to the polls, show your ID, and cast your vote. It's not rocket science, and that's the best way to ensure that each citizen is voting as they intend. Some people act as if the way we've been voting for hundreds of years is suddenly too difficult.

Yeah, right.

They check twice that many tax returns.
ROFL! No they don't.

California16,478,215

O.K. they check 1.6 times that many tax returns.

Many states have made it harder and harder to vote. Such as requiring people stand in line for up to 7 hours.

Or requiring people who have been voting for 50 years, to get copies of their birth certificates, which can run from $30 to $60. Which is the same as the co-pay for 2 - 4 doctors visits.

No state has made it a requirement to stand in line for up to 7 hours. Apply for an absentee ballot if you aren't able to wait your turn.

No state would require that if you had a valid state ID.

The costs of bureaucracy, that.

Sorry, but the anecdotal minutia you're employing isn't a rational reason to upend a system that has performed well for over 200 years. There's no need to reinvent the wheel as egg shaped when a perfect circle already exists and works perfectly.

Which is my point For 200 year a voter didn't need a specific government ID in order to vote. After having established their eligibility with a birth certificate or license based upon it, all they needed was any reasonable ID, and their signature. So as you said, why change a system that has worked for 200 years.

Yep, it's just like a big drug seizure at the border. They may seize 100 pounds but you can bet 1000 more slipped by them.

As with the border, isn't the solution to provide more enforcement resources (more money to the election boards) vs shutting down the border.
