Yes, this enclosed etrike has the battery in an insulated compartment that receives a heating pad in subzero. The heating pad is run by a small Jackery power station. Currently, double ebike batteries can increase range to ~100 miles. We have a plug in hybrid in a very cold winters state. In very cold weather, even with all the options, it’s still better to run it as a hybrid to stay warm. Then, your mileage drops to 40 to 50 mpg.
It’s tough to rationalize EVs if your daily commute in cold weather is over 150 miles. A friend uses a full electricity at home on just a 110 outlet. Maximum commutes are 60 miles which at .15 per kilowatt hour, 4 miles per KWh w/o air or heat comes out to 4 times .15 or .60 to go 60 miles. But, when you heat the car up, it can more double your expense, way up to 1.50 to 2.00 for 60 miles….
