More than 900 people have been fatally shot by police officers in 2015

Did you read your link?

It says 3/4 of them was self-defense where either the officer was under attack or defending someone else.. 25% was fleeing suspects. A large portion was due to mental illness.

Six important takeaways from The Washington Post’s police shootings investigation
When state police shoot, it’s almost always ruled ‘justified’

When state police shoot, it’s almost always ruled ‘justified’

In eight years, only one of at least 120 line-of-duty shootings by a Pennsylvania state trooper has been ruled “improper.”

That's exactly right.

The problem of police UNJUSTIFIED shootings is so rare and statistically irrelevant it's a complete joke.

dude, they don't give a rats ass. They just like imposing themselves to most everyone on the board. Facts be damned, just remember that when you post a response to these libturds.

GOOD!!!! Are you mad ?? Police should NEVER shoot unless it's justified.

You morons are now bitching about how only 1 out of 120 shootings by PA troopers was unjustified? I applaud that stat. YOU DO KNOW....this is what happens when police do things right.

If they ONLY shoot when it's justified....then almost all shootings will be...justified.

See how that works?

If they were you morons would complain about it.

If police only shoot when it's justified (as you libs demand they do, rightfully so).....then guess what? Almost all shootings will be justified.

So they're issued a weapon but not allowed to use it in life or death situations?

"Stop....or I'll tell you to stop again!!!"

Liberals anti cop argument has come down to this.

Extensive studies by Cato, Washington Post, CopBlock, and many other organizations all come to about the same stat.

Approximately 0.1% of cops shoot someone in a year....and the vast majority of those are clearly justified self defense.

Libs then respond.....

"Umm...yeah...but....but....there's thousands more they just don't do reports on!!!!" (There arent)
"Umm....well....they can't all be so justified they can't be....that's too high of a justified rate" (if cops only shoot when justified, as they should, then most all will be...well...justified)

I say fuck it, get rid of all the police. The ones afraid of guns are the ones who will get predated upon by the criminals, the rest of us can defend our own. Then there will be a court record of every killing of a criminal.

Well....that's slowly happening except police are still employed. They're just backing away slowly. One fewer confrontation between cops/thugs each day as time goes on.

The liberals cop hate campaign of the 60s led to the insane crime rates of the 70s and 80s. The 90s and early 00s saw a crackdown.

Now....libs are back at it....making sure thugs are more cherished and honored than our police.

My state would be okay with it :) We just had some idiot thief pull a gun on a mall security guard, random guy in the area pulled his gun and the thief went to jail. IDK where the recent crop of idiot criminals up here came from (*cough* Somali immigrants *cough*) but they're learning pretty quick not to dick around with Alaskans. 67% carry in the city, 90% outside; criminals beware.
