Mueller told Barr his memo failed to fully capture "context/nature/substance" of Mueller's probe

Uh oh, Barr LIED before Congress....

he's in some trouble!

Any other AG would resign tonight, any other lawyer would be disbarred for his misrepresentation let alone, lying under oath before congress when he said he did not know what Mueller thought about his 'summary' when Mueller sent him this letter telling Barr how disappointed he was with him before Barr lied about it to congress, and any law student doing what Barr did, would be kicked out of law school...but this is the bold and the lawless Trump administration with Teflon coating... so, who knows what will happen.... Barr has to be investigated now, maybe the IG, maybe congress in an impeachment inquiry of him.... who knows? :dunno:

Barr grossly misled the American public! No wonder Mueller is pissed.

Mueller said Barr's letter was accurate and not misleading. He emphasized it.
You can beat your head against a wall on this all day long. The left is never going to acknowledge this. SOP will be to either ignore your posts altogether, or simply repeat the original headline, but the fact that Mueller own words say that barr didnt mislead people in his summary will not matter.

“The summary letter the Department sent to Congress and released to the public late in the afternoon of March 24 did not fully capture the context, nature, and substance of this office’s work and conclusions,” Mueller wrote. “There is now public confusion about critical aspects of the results of our investigation. This threatens to undermine a central purpose for which the Department appointed the Special Counsel: to assure full public confidence in the outcome of the investigations.”

I'll concede on this point, as now that I'm looking for it, I cannot find any link to where that phone call ever took place, nor where those words were actually written.

I think if he is going to cite those claims, he needs to also put a link to where he got that information.

However, even liberal talk radio, today, was saying not to read too much into it. I was listening to dean obiedalah and he has guest Danny cevalas on, he was the one saying that Mueller didn't actually say what barr wrote was wrong.

I think there needs to be some clarification from Mueller on this letter he wrote. It's too vague and leaves more questions than it answers.

Per Washington Post. Being reported on CNN. Link below.

Special counsel Robert S. Mueller III expressed his concerns in a letter to William P. Barr after the attorney general publicized Mueller's principal conclusions. Mueller also pressed Barr in a phone call to release executive summaries of his report.

Special counsel Robert S. Mueller III wrote a letter in late March complaining to Attorney General William P. Barr that a four-page memo to Congress describing the principal conclusions of the investigation into President Trump “did not fully capture the context, nature, and substance” of Mueller’s work, according to a copy of the letter reviewed Tuesday by The Washington Post.

At the time the letter was sent on March 27, Barr had announced that Mueller had not found a conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russian officials seeking to interfere in the 2016 presidential election. Barr also said Mueller had not reached a conclusion about whether Trump had tried to obstruct justice, but Barr reviewed the evidence and found it insufficient to support such a charge.

Days after Barr’s announcement, Mueller wrote a previously unknown private letter to the Justice Department, which revealed a degree of dissatisfaction with the public discussion of Mueller’s work that shocked senior Justice Department officials, according to people familiar with the discussions.

Good for Mueller speaking out about his report being twisted by Barr.

So a bunch of unnamed sources?

Its Barr's report. Mueller works for Barr. WTF is Mueller whining about, if he wanted to be more specific he knows how to write. The answer is "No collusion, no obstruction".
If the dems want to impeach, go for it, otherwise STFU already.

Mueller was SC for 20 months before Barr was a fucking watermelon seed in Trump's wet dreams so, Barr can go fuck himself next to a Turkish mohel ..............

From someone who believes Trump is not a pathological liar. :happy-1:

Although Barr is not a master of deception - he certainly is a creature of deception. He lied to Congress - and there are increasing calls for his resignation.

Oh...Shit. And Barr testifies in front of the Senate tomorrow. No worries, Ms Lindsey is chairgirl of the committee. :whipg:

No worries. Mueller said the letter was accurate and not misleading. The rest of the report was released very quickly afterwards. What's the problem?

Mueller apparently felt far different than the words you cherry picked.

Than why did he say them?

Mueller did not seek an indictment: CASE CLOSED!

Stupid Russian. What part of the DOJ policy will not allow them to indict a sitting President do you fools not understand?

Mueller was NEVER going to indict Trump. It's up to Congress to impeach him.

It's not over. The Report was just the beginning of impeachment.

Barr asked Mueller if anything in the letter was inaccurate or misleading. Mueller said no.

You are cherry picking items from the article and dismissing Mueller's own words, reported in the same article.
