Crocs are one of the "rights of passage" for Boomers....I wear them because I've reached the "I don't give a shit what anyone thinks/fuck with me and I'll shoot you in the face" stage of my life.

Oh, did you ever notice that you also reach the "this is good enough for me" stage where you shun certain innovations just because you really don't need them?

Sometimes that works against you like with the air fryer.....What a wonderful thing! It saves me a ton of money.

Not really I guess, I valued money making and other skills over coolness.....Cool cost money.

That said I was into "Jeep life" before it was cool but I dumped them when 4X4 4-wheelers came out. All I needed was a 4X4 PU to haul one up to the mountain with.
