Nasty NRA Taunts Parkland Survivors "‘No One Would Know Your Names’ If Classmates Were Alive"

We are mourning them because of the direct failure of local law enforcement and the FBI to act when this kid was reported to them multiple times.

No, the problem is, all he had done up to that point was get into some fights. That pretty much describes most 17 year-olds with a Y Chromosome.

Most kids grow out of these problems. This one was able to buy a gun.

He wasn't a kid when he bought the gun
He was an adult

The most they can do is a 72 hour hold in a psych ward.

Gee, why should they be able to do THAT? I thought you said this was an issue of "Freedom".

Point is, banning gun ownership would reduce the suicide rate. Some won't even try. Others will try other methods, fail and get the help they need.

this would generally be a good thing, if you aren't a malignant narcissist who only cares about himself.

Wonder how many of these little boys went back to their hotel rooms and played Call of Duty.... or Grand Theft Auto or some other time wasting game that bases its 'Winner' on the amount of dead body's they pile up with a gun

I don't think they should be able to do that and sooner or later that policy will end.

But no matter how you slice it suicide is not illegal

What Noir said is so true. Deal with it

-Geaux

I'm sure they would rather their dead classmates were with them, and yes its true, and finally , finally they are doing something about it. That is what "Never again" means.

Now Noir is not his real name but its probably also true he would not be where he is if not for his Daddy. He is recruited by the NRA.

But never again is like fairy tales.

Guns are going nowhere.

He was on the FBI's radar for social media posts claiming he wished to be a professional school shooter.

Even students (and facaulty) at the school knew he made these threats because it was apparently an inside joke to them That they openly commented on in jest. "Cruz is most likely to shoot up the school one day".

Law enforcement failed those students by not acting. Period.

Gun owners have too many protections

Okay, if saying stupid shit on the internet was a crime, we could arrest half of USMB.

Um. No. We don't arrest people because of what they MIGHT do.

Every student and facaulty member knew Cruz was dangerous as did local law enforcement and the FBI.

They failed to act. The public has been told over and over to report these threats...yet they still do not.

It's was not the gun. It was the failure of multiple people leading up to the incident.

The students are being used by the Democrats and Media to promote their agenda. They are not looking for "solutions". So stop blowing smoke up everyone's ass.

Um, making it harder for crazy people like Cruz to get guns isn't a solution? Because it sounds like a solution to me.

It actually sounds like the OBVIOUS solution. If his teachers thought he was the most likely to shoot up a school, then you don't let him buy a gun.

Act how?

Gun owners have a protection of Due Process and the NRA only considers you crazy if you are committed

The students seem to have their own agenda and are quite articulate at expressing it

Its already required by law to run background checks on individuals wanting to purchase guns...looking for both a criminal and mental health record.

Blaming the victim – how typically, reprehensibly conservative.
