IMO the only reliable source for large scale emission free power is nuclear.

Solar and wind are OK for point of use local supply but woefully inadequate for large scale production and transmission of power.

Quite frankly I would forgo wind farms altogether as they spoil our open wild spaces.

We have hundreds of thousands if not millions of acres of south and southwest facing roof tops for solar panels so we do not need to uglify our wild empty lands with solar farms

A lot of libs say conservatives are anti science yet they are 100% against nuclear power.

I wish Obama would push nuclear far harder. Hydro, thermal and solar(for a home to home basis) are good sources of energy.

Personally, I wish Obama would put more into fusion. ITR in france expects it to work by 2020, but we could easily beat them to the chase with something far better.
