Nevada to join National Popular Vote compact

The Nevada Senate approved Tuesday a National Popular Vote bill on a party-line vote, sending the legislation aimed at upending the Electoral College to the governor.

Assembly Bill 186, which passed the Senateon a 12-8 vote, would bring Nevada into the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, an agreement between participating states to cast their electoral votes for the winner of the popular vote.

If signed as expected by Democratic Gov. Steve Sisolak, Nevada would become the 16th jurisdiction to join the compact, along with 14 states and the District of Columbia. The compact would take effect after states totaling 270 electoral votes, and with Nevada, the total would reach 195.

That’s 2 new states in less than 2 months. The NPV keeps chugging along.

This is the only state that could hurt the Republicans, the other states are considered blue states and it would only hurt the Democrats.

If the 2016 results flipped with the Hildebeast winning the EC and Trump the popular vote this would not be an issue so the so called backers of this move can take a long walk off a short bridge, head first.

I can just imagine what it would have been like in donnie's deplorable-land if that had happened. :71:

Breaking: Nevada added to the list of Dem states the SCOTUS will bitch slap. Dem's and their attempts to rig elections, come here Dem's :itsok:

You bed wetters can't win according to the rules, so you have to change them.

It will fail as soon as it ends up in a court with non-bed wetter judges.
It's funny when a tRump supporter says someone else isn't "playing by the rules".

I'm sure the SCOTUS will allow Dem's to rig presidential elections...God you Dem's are dumb. :auiqs.jpg:
cant the senate and the court say no to this?

The SCOTUS is historically fair minded. They will not allow states to scheme to steal EC votes from other states disenfranchising voters in those other states the idea is ridiculous.
and if this fails,,next thing they will try is,,,,NO ID Required to vote in blue states.

How is that rigging elections? If you look at the Constitution, you will notice that it's left up to the states to determine how they will distribute their EC votes.....not every state does it the same...nor are they required to.
