The detection technology is constantly getting better. There are trace amounts of harmful stuff in everything we eat and drink. Yes, some of those substances will cause cancer in some people if the dosage is sufficient. So the headline is sort-of correct.

But the concentration is almost NEVER sufficient to worry about it. In fact, there is some truth to the expression, "If it doesn't kill you, it makes you stronger." That is, trace amounts of carcinogens and "poisons" may actually be beneficial.

The people who work in nuclear power plants and the sailors who work on nuclear-powered vessels have a LOWER instance of cancer than the general population. Draw your own conclusions.
