If there is a dearth of black or Pacific Islanders, etc in the Winter Olympics, it's because most of those countries don't see much of a winter. On the other hand, they have plenty of representation in the summer games.

Lemme 'splain.....

To get a place on an Olympic team one must participate in tryouts and demonstrate superior skill. In classic liberal "equality of outcome" the composition of the team ultimately would be based primarily on consisting of numbers of blacks, whites, asians, and little green people according to the percentage of each group that applied.

Without regard to inhibiting factors like skill or ability but with full regard for race, colour, gender (or lack thereof) and, hell, even religion (no athiest preference this time).
