Not even a ticket, they broke up a family.

His arms wrapped around his wife and two teenage children, Jorge Garcia's eyes welled up Monday morning as he looked into their eyes one last time near the entrance to the airport security gate at Detroit Metro Airport.

His wife, Cindy Garcia, cried out while his daughter, Soleil, 15, sobbed into Garcia's shoulder as they hugged. Two U.S. immigration agents kept a close watch nearby.

After 30 years of living in the U.S, Garcia, a 39-year-old Lincoln Park landscaper, was deported on the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday from metro Detroit to Mexico, a move supporters say was another example of immigrants being unfairly targeted under the Trump administration.

Jorge Garcia was brought to the U.S. by an undocumented family member when he was 10 years old. Today he has a wife and two children,, all of whom are U.S. citizens.

Garcia had been facing an order of removal from immigration courts since 2009, but under the previous administration, he had been given stays of removal. But because of the Trump administration's immigration crackdown, Garcia was ordered in November to return to Mexico. His supporters say he has no criminal record — not even a traffic ticket — and pays taxes every year.

After 30 years in U.S., metro Detroit immigrant deported to Mexico

its takes a low life to take a man away from his family, who has been here for 29 years , working, paying taxes and not even a ticket.
The lazy bastard had 30 years to become legal, yet chose to remain a criminal. Lookie here folks, this is what the useless meat puppet regressives support!
Illegals can't get legal and can only work/stay here with "stays." The guy's a landscaper, he's raising a family. How lazy do you really think he is? If he had a way to become a citizen, considering he was raised here and is married to a citizen and his kids are citizens, he would probably take that opportunity. But he apparently was one year too old to take advantage of DACA when it came out, so even if the DACA bill passes with a path to citizenship, he can't take advantage of it.

This illegal alien had 30 YEARS to get his green card

30 FUCKING YEARS and he didn't do it and his wife was a US citizen it would have been rubber stamped

Fuck him.
Why don't unauthorized immigrants become citizens? They can't.

He married a US citizen.

He had a rubber stamp.
Why Don’t They Just Get In Line?
The second he got married he had his green card but he didn't apply did he?

It's his own fault.

Let's see. He came to this country at the age of 10, he's 39 now. He didn't apply for US citizenship in all those years? He let his family down by continuing to live here illegally. This paragon is a sloppy procrastinator.

HE choose to continue to be "illegal" and/or "undocumented". He never did a damn thing to correct his own position in all the years he lived here. Too bad, so sad. Adios, amigos.
Oh, and if its so fucking sad...his family can get on a bus and go with him. Yet...they have not. What a great "family'.

Green Card Through a U.S. Family Member: Who Qualifies?

And FYI I happen to have personal experience with this. My first wife was here on an expired Visa when we got married. She got a green card lickety split after we were married

In all his years since he turned 18 he could have applied for an adjustment of status yet chose not to. Instead he chose to live under a stolen, fraudulent, identity. What happened to the victim of his identity theft? He was ordered to be deported in 2009. Why? Not because he was living a crime free life. Something brought him before that judge. He decided in 2009 to ignore a court order. By what power did he think court orders could be ignored? Those powers don't apply to Americans.

Whitey Bulger escaped prosecution in Massachusetts. He settled in Santa Monica where he lived an exemplary life. He was a good neighbor. He paid his taxes. He commtted no crimes. Not even a traffic ticket. Why not give old Whitey a break?
