Not the point. Nobody from the current administration is attending. Send the freaking secretary of sweet and tasty candies for God Sakes, we don't need him/her/it until next Valentines day!
WHAT don't you understand about the FACT Margaret Thatcher's funeral is not an official state occasion? Anyone attending would be representing themselves and not the nation.
Actually, it is a state occasion given that The Queen is attending.

The official line from Buckingham Palace and Downing Street is that Margaret Thatcher is not being granted a state funeral.
BBC: Lady Thatcher will not have a state funeral but will be accorded the same status as Princess Diana and the Queen Mother.
