Obama throws Sony Pictures under the bus

Nop
Just how many of his allies and mentors has Obama thrown under the bus? I've lost count.

In the latest episode, Obama throws Sony Pictures aka Hollywood, one of his biggest supporters and probably the reason he became president in the first place, under the bus.

Obama falsely accuses Sony for "making the wrong decision" when during the Sony pictures' CNN interview of it's CEO, he clearly states that is not at all what happened. Now either Obama is ignorant of what actually happened, which is, the theaters backed out, or, he jumped on the trash-Sony bandwagon because that was the popular narrative (although false) out there.

What a piece of shit spineless president we have.

From what I gather of the timeline Sony changed their tune to blaming the dealers after Obama called them out. Originally they said that they had no intention of distributing the movie. Now they say they are looking for alternatives. Sony flip-flopped on this.

Sony's CEO did an interview on CNN about an hour after the president's press conference, where he expressed disappointment at how the president and the media had gotten it all wrong.

Actually Sony just released a statement that it was the theaters that decided not to show the movie.

Thank you for confirming the timeline.

Sony failed to explain why they pulled the movie originally. No one can blame Obama given how poorly Sony put out their original press release with no mention of the theaters. That was only explained in the subsequent CNN interview.

Obama also deserves credit for making it clear that NK is not going to get away with what they did to Sony.
Of course NK is going to get away with what they did to Sony. Or any other entity too. obumble won't do anything and everyone knows it.

Hello?! Sony, a big multi billion dollar corporation was attacked viciously by state sponsored cyber terrorists. The hackers got into all of Sony's systems and basically took everything it had online, and burned the house down. This has never happened to this extent before. They were totally paralyzed. Their main concern at that point was to ensure the survival and continuation of their day to day normal business transactions. They couldn't even send out emails, do you know what that means?

Sony only pulled the movie after the threat by the hackers which caused the theaters to pull out. So now they are looking for different vendors, and as you can see, nobody has stepped up. Obama should have kept impartial and showed support for Sony, instead of pointing his finger at the victims, which happened to be his close allies.

It is not certain that Sony will survive this, or what the extent of the actual damage is, since many Sony employees are now considering suing Sony for negligence in protecting their privacy.

Apparently that's what the top dogs at Sony think of his black ass as well. Why did they make the pic anyway, to mock of leader of a country in a comical way, I don't believe it was N. Korea that did the hacking, set up job.

Yeah, regardless of who did it, it certainly brought the hypocrisy of the left into center stage.

Really I think it put "Sony" in a bad light.

They are no different than the rest of the leftist socialist delusional morons out there. They just happen to be Jews. Although Jews will still vote overwhelmingly democrat, thanks to Obama, many Jews have left the democrat party.

If Sony failed to protect it's systems from hacking then it was negligent. If it failed to have backups and backup sites then it was negligent.

All modern corporations should be aware of the risk of hackers and have standard backup and recovery systems in place that tested on a regularly scheduled basis.

The loss of the data is a different matter entirely. Hackers have stolen data from many corporations before now so this is nothing new.

The onus is on Sony to protect it's corporate data. That is didn't is no one'e fault but their own.

Oh, and no one who uses any corporate systems have any expectation of privacy. Corporations own their data and can do with it whatever suits themselves. That doesn't mean there won't be lawsuits but Sony owns that data, not the individuals who gave it to Sony.

You don't realize what corporations are up against. S. Korea just announced that N. Koreans just managed to hack into their nuclear power reactors, threatening to destroy it next time. No individual corporation can fight against a govt. sponsored attack. They will find a way to get in eventually. This is a new day and age we are living in, and we will start seeing much more of this. The US govt. estimates that critical facilities and govt. organizations are attacked and sometimes hacked into at a rate of up to a thousand times a day.

Bottom line is the president and the US govt. should have stood by Sony's side, and supported and defended an industry which creates so many jobs and tax dollars. Instead president Obama decided to take an unnecessary jab at a company already on it's knees, in public. Especially an industry and group of people that provided so much support for Obama. This president has no class and honor. All he cares about is his popularity, which there is non to speak of now.

If NK can hack corporations do you seriously believe that US can't retaliate in kind?

NK isn't going to know what hit it if/when Obama gives the go ahead. The Pentagon has been preparing for a cyber-war for decades now. They haven't flexed their "muscles" publicly because that isn't how it works. This is all stealth warfare and even corporations get into the act.

So don't be surprised if embarrassing images of a baby dictator getting his diaper changed appear on the internet or the entire city of Pyongyang is without any power for a week.

Yes, but the US isn't a rogue nation with a crazy young dictator at the helm. So it has to pick and choose how it responds, and to make sure that it doesn't violate international law.

Absolutely agree which is why Obama was very careful in how he parsed his comments about responding to NK's aggression against Sony.

That it will happen is a given. How it will happen remains to be seen.

I have a suspicion that the independent hackers of the world have been probing the NK government systems ever since Sony was attacked. They aren't restrained in the same way the US govt is. They may even know Sony employees who were harmed and want to get back at NK.

In essence NK has opened a Pandora's box and we will be finding out things in the future that none of us ever knew.

Whatever happens to NK it won't be anything done by this country. If any American rogue hacker harmed a single NK pixel obumble would come down on the American like a ton of bricks.

That means you just get better cyber security. You take things like reactors off the network.

North Korea is doing what it always does. It acts in a bad manner, it sets off some nuke tests, it shells an island, and then the world community sends them some food and aid money and they behave themselves.
