I am old. I was once a kid-----my mom was born in DA BRONKS----and technically so was I ----but left
in infancy. I REMEMBER DA BRONKS with
aching nostalgia It was lovely. Very hilly
with all kinds of remarkable iron work decoration
on little buildings and fence like things---and
BIG ROCKS for climbing. Visits to grandma
were lovely-----us kids roamed the area from
Yankee stadium thru Fordham road-----when I---
the little sister -----circa six years old, EASILY AND SAFELY. Then the sixties happened-----and even worse THE SEVENTIES ------Da Bronks turned into
HORROR LAND---well described in the MOVIE
"ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK" Cortez is one
of the inmates of that large insane asylum?
