Tough shit. If you are low or middle class, you suffer. All of us are one catastrophy away from being homeless. Conquer and persevere my friends. Work, make good choices, work some more. Lazy ass libstained leftists have a hard time understanding this concept.

You forgot garage sales. Garage sales will help.

Yes and Trump has placed nearly a million American citizens squarely in the middle of a catstrophe of his own making for no other reason than political gain.
campaign promise that got him elected. it's what an honest politician does, keeps promises to those who voted him into office. I understand you fail to grasp that concept since everyone you vote for throws their promises down the toilet. it's who you are.
Still waiting for that check from Mexico.

Is it coming by way of Jupiter?

Actually, we're still waiting for our ObabbleCare cost savings....
Why would you? tiny trump replaced ObamaCare with something much better like he promised.
nope, never happened, what happened was that the mandate was eliminated and as such is now a piece of illegal legislation. congress hasn't replaced it, it will slowly dissolve and go back to the way it was before obammy care was rammed down our throats, finally.

needed nine senators duncepole. when will you actually educate on how the US functions? wow, you still are lost.

Link please.

Show us the Senate whip count.
link for what? the Senate needs 60 votes to pass a bill. you need a link for that? really? now I know you are stupid.

You said 9 were needed. You're assuming every Republican was on board. Show us the whip count.
it never came to a vote. How can I tell you how republicans were going to vote without a vote? that's a typical lefturd's thought process though. so you agree, they needed at least nine dem votes correct? You educated yourself on the senate and vote counts for legislation?

Then don't assume only 9 Dems were needed, dope.

The Republicans were not able to get this done for two years. Don't act like it's just the Dems.
well at least nine dems were necessary. way to flip the bit lefturd, it is 'at least' nine dems.

Trust me, if McConnell had all the repubs, he would have held a vote .
:dunno: nope, he didn't have 60.

The House Democrats have met their constitutional obligation.

No, they have not. That's the partisan hack answer. Their obligation, as is the Senate's obligation, as is the president's obligation, is to work together to reach a compromise and end the impasse. The president wants $5 billion for a wall; the Democrats want nothing. Nobody is willing to budge. Mature adults would meet halfway, but that's not what we have in D.C. I don't support a wall either, but to cause all of this drama over pure partisan politics is irresponsible on everybody's part.

The president and the Senate are not obliged to shut the govt down over funding requests, dope.
the president is allowed to have input into the budget. no matter how much you wish to not have it so. too fking funny. where were all you creeps when obammy was in office?

Great. So it's his shutdown. Thanks.
well no, he can't sign what he doesn't have. so until something touches his desk, he is not at fault. BTW, they know what he wants, why don't they negotiate? isn't that customary in negotiations? just saying.
To you, negotiating means giving him a wall.

What do you mean it never happened? tiny trump told us it would happen! Next you'll say something crazy like Mexico isn't going to pay for the Wall.....or H. Clinton hasn't been locked up yet! :ack-1:

not at all, negotiating is and has been funding a wall for 27 billion, and the senate said no, so trump said ok 5.7 billion. he negotiated, in good faith may I say. He even offered up paths to citizenship for DACA kids. and still nothing from the dems. Not one damn thing. wow, you should read up on what negotiating is.

The estimate was not intended to become public. It was just leaked.
Their previous estimate was 0.1% every two weeks.

"The Trump administration now estimates that the cost of the government shutdown will be twice as steep as originally forecast.
The original estimate that the partial shutdown would subtract 0.1 percentage point from growth every two weeks has now been doubled to a 0.1 percentage point subtraction every week, according to an official who asked not to be named."

.1 percentage point per week?
:113:

So, in 6 months we could have a negative GDP?

Yeah, that person obviously has an agenda and/or is talking out of his/her ass.
Trump said he would give us 4%-5% GDP.
He failed to miss his target miserably in 2017 and will fail again in 2018. What's your forecast for 2019?

...and....
Conservatives are conflicted. One commented that it has to be a lie because the official is anonymous, and the other said it just doesn’t matter.
why not fund the wall and call it a day? you didn't care when billions went to other countries for support. why now? oh yeah TDS. keep it shutdown until the 5.7B makes it on a budget. we're cool with the government staying shutdown. are you? at some point someone will need to blink and it won't be trump.

BTW, the dems know what it will take to reopen the government and are doing nothing. and you don't care. it seems you don't care others are not getting paid.

Yeah and they don't care about the billions the illegals cost we tax payers every year either.
Your statistic comes from a dubious right wing source.

mexico is already paying for the wall. and again, nine senators were needed to change legislation. so, no replacement of obammy care, it will dwindle away. yeahhhhhhh

so why are the dems doing that?

again, I don't care that you blame trump.. blame him all you want, that isn't getting the dems to the table. they refused to meet with him again today. they refused. he offered. but go ahead, say it's on trump, i give two shits dude. I know it's the dems. and so do many millions.

Nor is the House. Once again, you provide the partisan hack response.

Wishful thinking? There is no doubt that a "shrinking GDP" would fit right into the democrat party agenda but only an idiot would claim that the GDP depends on non essential government drones.

If the 800,000 Govt workers not getting paid make an average of 50 grand a year...almost 400,000,000 is not making its way to the economy every week but we are still paying the same in taxes to the Govt.

The Senate approved funding to keep the government open on Dec. 19, but without funds allocated for President Trump's border wall. (Reuters)

The GOP-controlled Congress on Wednesday severely undermined President Trump’s drive for a border wall, embracing a short-term spending bill that would keep the government open but deny any new money for his long-promised wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.

The agreement announced by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) would fund the federal government through Feb. 8, averting a partial shutdown scheduled to take effect at the end of Friday absent action by Congress and Trump.

But the spending bill would not include any of the $5 billion Trump is demanding for his wall, and it would punt the next round of border wall decisions into the new year, when a new Democratic majority in the House will have the power to stop wall funding from going through Congress.

Without Congress, Trump’s only remaining options for fulfilling his wall promise would rely on a series of legally dubious strategies that face opposition from newly empowered Democrats at every turn.
