But with the advent of our modern, technologies... Haven't cities become somewhat ubiquitous. Before they used to be centralized centers of wealth, commerce, trade, and culture. And still are. But seemingly to a lesser extent. And to a different effect. Those who can afford to, live outside the city, due to transportation. That same transportation allows those ouside the cities access to the same goods available in the cities. Communications allow us to stay in contact, and communicate virtually anywhere nowadays. It seems the only things cities have a centralized monopoly on anymore are poverty, crime, and corruption...
