Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine vetoes bill banning gender-affirming care for transgender minors

Then it should be able to be debunked very quickly. Of course the extremely strong default for a Republican should be "keep the government out of it."

It involves mental states, class advocacy, and SJW idiocy.

Don't give me that binary "all government or no government bullshit. Government has always been about drawing lines.

Right here in response to you claiming in post #263 where you said you were on the side of freedom.
Ok. Missed that. Government should butt out of family decisions outside of obvious abuse. Choosing medical or psychological treatments for mental health issues isn't obvious abuse.

Do want to acknowledge limits now and define them and explain what mechanism you think should exist for us to decide them?

Constitutions generally do that. But statist don't really want to abide by those limits so they continual work around or deny them.

Because you're a pussy. You see what you want to see or in this case what you think you can effectively respond to.
Here we go again with cock waving. Get a life.

And in recent years, well since Trump, there have been no lines.

Apparently "leave people alone" is now a verbotten Republican phrase.
If you don't want gender affirming care, don't get gender affirming care. You want parents to have control, yet you want to butt in with police when they exercise that parental control.

This started because SJW's moved this into schools, where it has become "trendy" to become LGalsphabetsalad without really knowing or caring what that means.

Do you think parents have the right to drug their kids to make them shorter, or allow surgery to cut their arms off?

It's about consensus. No serious segment of society believe arm amputations are justified. The issue with the trans thing is that not every agrees with you. So, you don't get to force your views on them. Sorry. The governor got it right.

How can one come to an agreement when anyone opposing it, even just for minors is screamed down and threatened?

This is just as stupid as saying kids should have their arms chopped off because they think they should be one armed. And just as irreversible.

We've gone from drugging and surgery being the last resort to being the first resort. It's because the left wants another pity pole class beholden to them.

Do you have examples where medical doctors recommended and did this?

Please cite where parents are threatened for not doing this? Texas will now do the opposite.

Please cite where this has occurred.

We've gone from drugging and surgery being the last resort to being the first resort.
Please cite where this has occurred. Please cite where a parent who did not want gender affirming care for their child to occur was forced to do so by the State. Please cite the hundreds of thousands of cases where this is now first resort.

Please cite where its not because of recommendation of medical doctors?
20 years ago I wouldn't have had evidence of doctors mutilating kids breasts or sex organs, or drugging them to ruin their puberty, but here we are.
And 20 years ago gays were imprisoned for being gay.

Murder is wrong and against our laws.
Mutilation of children is wrong and against our laws.
Again, you should go to a vet kookbot.
The vetoed legislation was a solution in search a problem that doesn't exist, in addition to being reckless, irresponsible government excess and overreach.

The whole "do you want a live daughter or dead son" mantra of the advocates. The attacks on anyone not toeing the line. Google it yourself.

More googling for you. Hell California made a law protecting people doing just that.

In the United States?

You can't. That's the point.
We've gone from drugging and surgery being the last resort to being the first resort.
I agree. But others don't. So we don't get to force our views on them.

So you have no statistics to support your statement. Got it. Your surrender is accepted.

This is just another poorly defined argument. What's obvious to me might be entirely different than what's obvious to you. But at least you were finally brave enough to set down some sort of standard as nebulous and poorly defined as "obvious harm" is. So harm is the standard. Good. That's a good standard to have. Now we need systems in place to litigate and debate what constitutes "obvious harm." When we do that we see near universal agreement from the medical community that conversion therapy is seen as harmful and gender affirming care as the standard. And before cries of appeal to authority I'll happily put up evidence for gender affirming care over any so called evidence for conversion therapy.

Your opinion doesn't constitue a real violation of the constitution. It represents your opinion. And again you have poorly defined who's violating the constitution and how. :dunno:
Here we go again with cock waving. Get a life.
:itsok:

I'm sure of my arguments. Why aren't you sure of yours?
