Not really no. Only began kamikaze attacks at the end of the war when defeat was obvious and unavoidable.

Wrong.

"Beginning with the Pearl Harbor Attack, Japanese suicide bombers sporadically crashed their planes into the enemy as a spur-of-the-moment decision."

"The initial successes of those attacks sparked an immediate expansion of the program."

Ah, the good ol days when blacks knew their place, white people ruled and the country as a whole rallied for one complete cause, defeat the bad guys and role onto victory. (sigh)......

Who in their right mind, with gun fanatics running the country, a mass shooting every other day, 3 wars and counting on our agenda, a fucked up election year looming, Christmas right around the corner and a partridge in a pear tree....who has time to revisit for the millionth time Pearl Harbor...like let it go. That is the only effin war, this country wants to constantly celebrate.

Yeah, pro-jihadists don't like us to remember WWII because it reminds everybody about how fucking stupid it is to discount lunatics who declare war on you.

First off, I served my country and actually was stationed for several years in Oahu. I've very familiar with the history and the attacks. Listen, war is hell and for the US to keep chasing every gotdamned muslim country on the planet to end its attacks, when most of the harm we experience...COMES FROM MOTHERFUCKERS THAT LIVE HERE OR BORN HERE AND AND A FUCKIN CRAZY!!
This makes me weep for our military, and is just another example of how America has become degraded over the years.

Sweetie, you want to cry? Cry for a country so engulfed in fear, that nothing short of mass destruction of muslims, blacks, latino's and gays can make them all feel better...that's the pulse of this sorry ass country we call America.

Ugh. You're making my eyes bleed. Please stop. Pass out. Something.

I'm trying to make you feel better....LOLOLOLOL....and your attacking me...such nerves, you have.

Little children are indoctrinated into beliefs that their government or religion are superior to all others.

Because of shortages, Japanese children were taught to fly aircraft in crude, wood simulators. They were taught to take off, fly straight, and then dive on a target. Never how to land!

All to give their life for the Emperor and Japan.

Kamikaze - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"were suicide attacks by military aviators from the Empire of Japan against Allied naval vessels in the closing stages of the Pacific campaign of World War II,"

"These attacks, which began in October 1944, followed several critical military defeats for the Japanese"

You should really start reading the links before you post to back up your partisan exaggerations. At least the first sentence anyhow.

First kamikaze attack of the war begins - Oct 25, 1944 - HISTORY.com

"On this day in 1944, during the Battle of the Leyte Gulf, the Japanese deploy kamikaze (“divine wind”) suicide bombers against American warships for the first time. It will prove costly–to both sides.

This decision to employ suicide bombers against the American fleet at Leyte, an island of the Philippines, was based on the failure of conventional naval and aerial engagements to stop the American offensive. Declared Japanese naval Capt. Motoharu Okamura: “I firmly believe that the only way to swing the war in our favor is to resort to crash-dive attacks with our planes…. There will be more than enough volunteers for this chance to save our country.”

The first kamikaze force was in fact composed of 24 volunteer pilots from Japan’s 201st Navy Air Group. The targets were U.S. escort carriers; one, the St. Lo, was struck by a A6M Zero fighter and sunk in less than an hour, killing 100 Americans. More than 5,000 kamikaze pilots died in the gulf battle-taking down 34 ships."

"While Japan apparently did not use suicide tactics at Pearl Harbor, we know of their use of the Kamikaze later in the war. One historian stated that by the end of WWII: 7,465 Kamikazes flew to their deaths. 120 US ships were sunk, with many more damaged.

Being shot up and then crashing into something is considerably different than the actual kamikaze attacks late in the war when no attempt at doing anything but was used.

Little known fact/s:
The Japanese needed every fighter plane to return to fight again BUT if the target/s was deemed more important than the plane/s but the target was too far to return home do to fuel consumption the pilots were told not to return but to use the plane itself as the weapon of last resort. These pilots were given special 'funeral' ceremonies and LOTS of saki before taking off. Their water bottles were filled with what we call 'moonshine'. They were ordered to drink the contents when they saw their target/s. Basically some drunk suicide pilots. The Emperor promised they and their families would be honored and revered and looked after for all time

A traitor is someone who sides with the declared enemy.

In this thread, that would be Japan, after they attacked Pearl Harbor. Or the Islamic state.

Except of course- the pilots who attacked Pearl Harbor were not fanatical suicide bombers.

They attacked, and returned back to their carriers, other than the few shot down.

Fanatics? Not really- not compared to the Japanese Army officers- those were fanatical. The pilots who attacked us December 7, 1941 did so under orders from their government, and were no more 'fanatical' about that attack, than Billy Mitchell's boys when they took off from the Hornet with B-25's to attack Japan.

Japanese became suicide bombers late in the war, when they had already lost the war.

History is a terrible thing to abuse.
It was Jimmy Doolittles boys who took off from the Hornet.

My bad....

Yes the war that FDR lied the US into...
FDR attacked a country that did not attack the US
FDR locked up Japanese Americans to vet them through a loyalty test..

Something the far left is against today..

And which country did FDR attack in your twisted little mine?

Japan attacked the United States first.
Germany and Italy then declared war on the United States.

FDR shamefully locked up American citizens of Japanese descent on the West Coast(but not in Hawaii)- but we can't just blame him- virtually all Americans supported that- my grandmother supported that action- probably anyone who had American parents or grandparents or great grandparents at that time descends from someone who supported that action- it was a shameful moment of American history- and a good lesson.

So? Obama's the President and Commander-in-Chief and still a fucking idiot.

You're confusing being practical and crashing anyway with having bombs on your plane and making no attempt to drop them on target and flying plane and bombs into the target. One's kamikaze, one isn't.

I think where we run into trouble, especially today, is what constitutes siding with the enemy. From the rhetoric of some posters and public figures siding with the enemy is sharing an ethnic background, religion, and/or skin pigment. I would hope most people see it as providing materiel support or possibly some moral support in the form extreme speech.
