Our tax dollars at work

Look it up. I did.

I thought the total was like 100 million. Turns out if 300 Billion, with a B.

Blew me away when I read the article.

In his speech in Arizona, Donald Trump outlined all the ways he plans to address illegal immigration if elected to the White House. The United States has to act, he said Aug. 31, because illegal immigration comes at a steep cost.

"Illegal immigration costs our country more than $113 billion a year. And this is what we get," Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, said. "For the money we are going to spend on illegal immigration over the next 10 years, we could provide 1 million at-risk students with a school voucher, which so many people are wanting."

We wondered if illegal immigration costs taxpayers $113 billion a year. We asked Trump’s campaign for the source of his data but did not hear back.

Fox News’ Sean Hannity presented the $113 billion figure a few days earlier in a town hall interview with Trump, citing a 2013 report from Federation for American Immigration Reform, a group seeking reduced immigration.

FAIR’s report says $113 billion represents the total cost at the federal, state and local levels for undocumented immigrants. The vast majority -- $84 billion -- is paid by state and local governments.

The $113 billion is not a net cost. Taking into consideration federal, state and local tax payments made by the undocumented population, the net cost would be about $99 billion, according to the FAIR report.

Why bother with tax breaks for commercial ventures?
Gee I don't know to get a company to bring hundreds or thousands of jobs to the city?
does nothing for infrastructure. Cities should be creating their own manufacturing jobs by merely upgrading infrastructure on a regular basis.

Governments do not manufacture anything

because the government has no manufacturing capability

all a government can do is pay for others to manufacture goods

ok. i won't argue the point. however, venture capital does create demand. State capitalism is still command economics. Hoover Dam is one example. Our postal service is another.

I am advocating for State Corps of Engineers to avoid the Cost of future boondoggles.

Of course not, he's just trying to divert the thread from the OP because he's uncomfortable with being reminded that he is part of what's killing the country.

We thought the lottery was supposed to help the children?

.

I doubt it makes it to the schools, where does all the money go??
Tax breaks for folks who don't need them maybe?

No tax breaks, no additional revenue?

.
Tax breaks ≠ additional revenue.

Yes, it's a deflection from.the OP. As previously noted it's is an uncomfortable subject for republicans.

Democrats started the lottery Ponzi scheme.

.
I don't know whether that's true or not but it's still an attempt to distract from the OP.

How much does immigration cost taxpayers?

Still a hell of a lot of tax payer money for illegals.

Report from Fair:
Estimating the fiscal burden of illegal immigration on the U.S. taxpayer depends on the size and characteristics of the illegal alien population. FAIR defines “illegal alien” as anyone who entered the United States without authorization and anyone who unlawfully remains once his/her authorization has expired. Unfortunately, the U.S. government has no central database containing information on the citizenship status of everyone lawfully present in the United States. The overall problem of estimating the illegal alien population is further complicated by the fact that the majority of available sources on immigration status rely on self-reported data. Given that illegal aliens have a motive to lie about their immigration status, in order to avoid discovery, the accuracy of these statistics is dubious, at best. All of the foregoing issues make it very difficult to assess the current illegal alien population of the United States.

However, FAIR now estimates that there are approximately 12.5 million illegal alien residents.

And this one talks about immigration period.

A tax cut is not giving them money and it's stupid to even post it.

Did I take your money ? Did I give back your money .

Corporations like individuals use the U.S. Tax Code to legally reduce their total income tax burden. All expenses, like taxes are passed onto the CONSUMER. So when corporations can reduce their taxes, they can offer their products at a more competitive price to the CONSUMER.

Libs are clueless about economics, and business.
