Pardon me????NY indicts Manafort minutes after he’s sentenced to prison
A Manhattan grand jury has indicted President Trump’s former campaign manager Paul Manafort on charges of residential mortgage fraud and other state crimes, the Manhattan District Attorney’s office said Wednesday.
“No one is beyond the law in New York,” said DA Cy Vance Jr in a statement. “Following an investigation commenced by our Office in March 2017, a Manhattan grand jury has charged Mr. Manafort with state criminal violations which strike at the heart of New York’s sovereign interests, including the integrity of our residential mortgage market.”
The district attorney’s office determined some time ago that it would seek charges whether or not the president pardoned Mr. Manafort.
In the 16-count indictment, Manafort faces raps for residential mortgage fraud, attempted residential mortgage fraud, conspiracy, falsifying business records and scheme to defraud....

Here come the state charges. So pardons won't save his ass. Thanks, NY!
And Thank you American Hero Mueller.
I wonder at what point, the Russians put him and the family down? It's cheaper.
btw: I wonder when state tax fraud indictments come? And other types as well.
If there were twenty mafia criminals Trump had ties to, he'd pardon everyone of them.btw:
Can anyone tell me of any other presidential serving criminal like Scooter Libby that got 2 pardons
One by Dubya and one by the great Douche. Is this another MAGA First?
it is the first coup d etat in our history outside of the civil war. so seems reasonable it would end up there. See witch hunts isn't an American standard, the Soviets used that technique of follow people and find crimes rather than have crime find criminal. No other person elected in our history has so many players in the campaign charge /convictedstill nothing touching the trump campaign. proof of witch hunt.In the second case, he was a convicted felon.Manafort gets 7 1/2 years for all his crimes. And others who do less get decades in jail. FFS!
White Collar crimes seem to pay well.
"BREAKING: Judge sentences former Trump campaign chairman Manafort to 60 months on first count, 30 months to run concurrent with Virginia case; judge imposes sentence of 13 months on Manafort for second count, to be served consecutively"
Manafort is a first time, non-violent offender. Do you really think a life sentence in solitary confinement is just?
Just because you hate Trump?
LOL. You really betting the great Douche is clean here!?
We can add Stone now, the scumbag lost already.
This should be plastered on all news feeds around the world. We are coming for the crooked white collar criminals. The days of fraudilent exploitation and lies are over. All of trumps pals might as well just turn themselves in for leniency. And seriously....the ENDLESS lies even not under oath need to be punished hard drop the fkin hammer on these assholes that lie first everytime then backtrack. This way of life needs to be cauterized and burned off from our society because it is toxic and an awful example for our kids and people. Trump, the president, being a serial liar couldn't be worse on this.NY indicts Manafort minutes after he’s sentenced to prison

Of course you do...You're a totalitarian hack.I applaud it.
NY is teeing him up NOT because he has political connections but because the Political Connection has repeatedly hinted out wiping out his federal conviction because he didn't flip on him in the Mueller investigation. 03/14/2019 ~~ By Andrew C. McCarthy ~~ The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office has indicted Paul Manafort for mortgage fraud and more than a dozen other state felonies. This is a nakedly political prosecution. Democrats, who run the Empire State, are apoplectic that President Trump could pardon his former campaign manager, who has been sentenced to 90 months in prison in the Mueller probe.
Well, as the New York Times notes, the New York state charges filed Wednesday are based on bank loans that were part of the fraud charges brought by Robert Mueller in the Virginia case. The Times says that “the Manhattan prosecutors deferred their inquiry in order not to interfere with Mr. Mueller’s larger investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.” Having been in these tussles, I don’t buy that. The Manhattan prosecutors stood down because, once Mueller’s federal case went forward, they were out of luck... And now, gamesmanship is the order of the day: The state prosecutors have brought a case they otherwise never would waste time on — not because the case should be done, but to try to block a pardon.... If Trump were to pardon Manafort, that would vitiate the federal prosecution. The point of the pardon is to excuse the offense as if it never happened. So, the idea is that if Manafort’s federal prosecution were to be voided, there would be no state double jeopardy bar against a subsequent New York State prosecution.
No one, however, should be singled out for prosecution because of his political associations.
The New York district attorney did not indict Manafort because he committed mortgage fraud. The DA indicted Manafort because he worked on the Trump campaign and could be pardoned during Trump’s presidency. That’s disgraceful.

Manafort is a political prisoner. Pure and simple. Next up. Re-education/Concentration camps to house all these “Enemies of the Marxist Socialist Democrats”.
Let's face it, if Manafort had rolled on Trump, he would not be where he is.
Rosenstein had already looked at his case years ago and dropped it. Years later Mueller and his Leftist cadre resurrected it to squeeze him, but he either had nothing to give or wasn’t willing to give it, so away he goes.
On the other hand, Cohen, as much as he is the sleaze he is, is in the same position. He was battered and squeezed, and presumably if he had something, anything, he would have used it to save himself. But Trump’s own feckless and faithless lawyer, the one who taped Trump without his knowing... had nothing to give. So off to prison he goes.
You’d imagine that a guy with complicated personal and business dealings has got to have some dirty dealings in his past, and clearly that’s what Mueller assumed, they figured surely if we dig deep enough we’ll find something. But Trump is evidently a pretty straight arrow. Much straighter than even his supporters might have imagined.
As McCarthy suggests, commutation will leave the convictions intact and preclude the state of New York proceeding.
As a resident of New York State, the City of New York and it's five boroughs has become a garbage pile and rats nest of communists and will never recover as a worthwhile City State. It is so trashed that it will crumble under its own weight. In essence they are trying to be a Country by pulling away from America. They join California is being the most disliked State in the Union. Both California and New York State have discussed seceding from the U.S.A., I say fine let them leave.
