Paying people off to avoid a scandal is perfectly legal

Edwards problem is he used campaign money to make the payoff, which is illegal. If there was a personal benefit, it's not a legitimate campaign expense. Trump gained a personal benefit, so it can't legally be a campaign expense. If it wasn't a legal campaign expense and wasn't paid with campaign money, there is no violation of campaign finance law.

.
it was a crime, cohen plead guilty to them, the judge accepted it being a crime by accepting the guilty plea of cohen.

Cohen is composing to satisfy the prosecutor. By law if there was a personal benefit to be had in the transaction, it isn't a legal campaign expense. It couldn't be a campaign finance violation unless campaign funds were used.

.

That's bs. If Cohen gets caught lying to get a lighter sentence, it backfires and he gets a LONGER sentence. He has every reason NOT to lie.

I guess some folks can be talked into pleading to just about anything. There can't be a conspiracy related to the NDA's, because Cohen was Trumps attorney and acting on Trumps behalf. Cohen also had a fiduciary responsibility to only act in Trumps best interest, if he allowed Trump to go down the road to criminality, Trump has a cause of action against Cohen in the tens of millions.

.

Yes he can... because the women were paid off using an LLC, and Trump is on tape discussing the payoff doing it. He conspired with Cohen to break campaign finance laws.

Fuck this shit, post the transcripts of the tapes or STFU. Trump got a personal benefit from the NDA's, legally only things that benefit the campaign and nothing else can be financed with campaign funds, there cannot be a dual purpose like a personal or commercial benefit.

You failed to prove a thing, moron. Can you prove he had an affair with Daniels? Billionaires are often harassed and blackmailed by spurned gold diggers. I realize it's not a problem that your ugly ass has never experienced.

If he didn't cheat, there is nothing to be blackmailed for. He would just tell Melania, "I didn't cheat." Billionaires don't get rich by paying out $150,000 and $130,000 every time a woman accuses them of an affair.

Sure they do, that is why no one thinks they cheat.

Trump said he NEVER settles lawsuits because then everyone will file suits against him. That would mean he'd also never pay off women for blackmail... because if he did nothing wrong, women would be accusing him and getting paid off all the time. If he was an honest man, him telling his wife he didn't do it would be enough.

Only the dumbest of dumbasses would fall for that "logic."

Just because you are too dumb to understand logic, don't try to bring everyone down with you. If you are trustworthy, your wife will believe you when you say you didn't cheat on her, and then you don't have to pay women $150,000 and $130,000.

Why is that so hard for you to understand?

ROFLMFAO

Wow, someone who thinks Hillary isn't guilty of any crimes,
telling someone else, they're too dumb to understand logic!

Priceless

Only someone retarded beyond all repair would be able to fool themselves into believing silencing women just before an election and alleging affairs with Trump as his new bride birthed their child; was neither of any benefit to the campaign nor even an attempt to benefit the campaign.

I've never said that Hillary was innocent. In fact all I did was say how I thought Hillary was responsible for the deaths in Benghazi, for Whitewater, Cattlegate... and many other things.

You guys need to quit this shit of just making shit up.

Trump and Guiliani has said Trump paid Cohen back. Have you been under a huge rock?

I'm not sure why, but it seems the Democrats think that paying off a woman to be quiet about a scandal is somehow illegal. Well, it isn't.

Meanwhile, I'm wondering what any of this has to do with collusion with Russia...

This may come down to why one assumes the money was paid. If you assume that it was paid as to not hurt his chances in the election, then it could be construed to be campaign hush-money activity. If it was paid just to avoid anybody finding out about it, it could be construed as more of a legal settlement.

It’s not ok when it’s a violation of election law

If Hillary did this you’d be in melt down

Now be quiet. You sound stupid

Half a billion dollars on behalf of the Russian oligarchs that ended up in the Hildebeast's slush fund disguised as a charitable foundation says otherwise, Shillian.

There is ZERO evidence Trump used campaign funds so NO CRIME.

That is where the problem is, he used non campaign funds for campaign expenses..that is a no no.

nope not according to the law

if he did with any other reason

such as to hide it from the wife

or

to save embarrassment to the family

then no crime has been committed
Yea but he did it to change the outcome of the election. That's a NO NO. He's on tape.

So, Russia isn't to blame anymore,
the, 'whore, keep your mouth shuit, payout is...got it

Russia may be the next shoe to drop. Trump is embroiled in multiple scandals. The paying off of pornstars is just one of the many scandals brought about by the Trump Crime Syndicate.

Shouldn't that have happened already?

:auiqs.jpg: oh, the unimaginable

Check this out....
Asia Argento, leader of the #MeToo whores,
that found courage and self respect, finally, after 20 fucking years
denies she forced herself, on a 17 year old boy...she was 37
and claims the payoff Bennett received,
was the doing of her boyfriend at the time,
Anthony Bourdain, who, of course, can't weigh in
because he killed himself, less than 2 months ago...

Anyhoo...
according to her the money was paid,
NOT because she was guilty,
but, because Anthony thought it was best,
to have compassion for someone struggling financially...
Oh, and could end up being NEGATIVE PUBLICITY

Even with pictures, text messages and a money trail
which support his allegations, she continues to call him a liar,
and blame Anthony Bourdain for giving him the money.

Now, THAT'S scandalous!

Maybe that played a role in his suicide... Fucking bitch!

That's appears to be the position of knuckledraggers with TDS. The law says, if there was a personal benefit, it can't be a legitimate campaign expense. Deal with it.

No, he's much dumber.

Trump went from: "I never slept with McDougal or Daniels and have no idea about any payments. Ask Michael he's my lawyer."

to: "Cohen did it and I didn't know about it until after the fact, but I paid him back through his monthly retainer."

to: "I didn't know about it, but I paid Cohen back and it had nothing to do with my campaign it was just to save my marriage."

to: "I didn't know about it, but it isn't a crime because I paid Cohen back with my own money."

to: "Cohen is a rat scumbag lawyer and I did nothing wrong."

Obviously he had every reason to pay that money outside the campaign. This is total bullshit and of course would implicate Obama and others as well. Let's not even talk about Clinton.

Dumbfuck, the law also says...

(8)(A) The term "contribution" includes-
(i) any gift, subscription, loan, advance, or deposit of money or anything of value made by any person for the purpose of influencing any election for Federal office

[USC10] 52 USC Ch. 301: FEDERAL ELECTION CAMPAIGNS

Contributions include those made by the candidate and “must be reported”...

When candidates use their personal funds for campaign purposes, they are making contributions to their campaigns. Unlike other contributions, these candidate contributions are not subject to any limits. They must, however, be reported.
