Back when you all claim that America Was Great, unions were a dime a dozen.....
How can you Make America Great AGAIN, without them?
Anyone who doesn't recognize the invaluable contribution to the middle class as the unions ONCE MADE many years ago... is an idiot.
Anyone who doesn't recognize that unions also contributed to the demise of the middle class post 1970's - is also an idiot.
Ronald Reagan doomed the middle class with supply side and weakening the unions
The middle class has not been the same
Low wages, fewer benefits and a loss of job security
One of the things that is quite aggravating is when someone hears a truth they don't particularly like, they "argue" by saying something else is true.
I don't get that.
The unions were, as I say, invaluable in the creation of the middle class in the early/mid 20th century. Indeed, there would be no middle class as we knew it without unions.
But they were also instrumental in the slow-painful demise of the middle class that is still in retreat.
You can say something else that is true, but that doesn't change what I said.
Maybe you can explain your opinion. Not all unions are alike, and some of those unions who once represented the middle class and professions, have become union lite, i.e. still able to negotiate wages/salary and benefits.
Free to work is as I've said before, nothing but a euphemism for taking away collective bargaining and individual protections.
