R candidates should bar/ban activists like Ramos:The Job of Journalists Is to 'Denounce positions'

All speech that offends The Great Donald must be banned!
Hey you stupid fuck, his daughter works for Hillary
Why do you think that makes a difference? How many rights do you want people to give up for your fuhrer. So far in this thread you are demanding free press, free speech and freedom of association be disposed of.

There's no right for a "Journalist" to demand he be allowed access to anybody. If he wants to be a mouthpiece for Hillary, fine, let him. But don't fucking cry that he's barred from the debates
A journalist has a right to demand access to anyone that is in the public eye. Ramos proved that with Trump. Trump tried to make the claim you are making and he and his staff corrected the idiocy quickly. Press conferences where journalist compete and shout out questions are common. Trump is an entitled whiner by admission. Jorge was teaching him about genuine reality, not that reality nonsense Trump produces for TV.
Watch what happens if Trump follows your idea that he can limit journalist and pick and choose which ones can ask him questions.

There's no "right to access" anywhere. He can do all the stores he wants and he can cry in his pillow that he's not getting "access" whatever that means

No

So? I have a brother who worked for Perry. Does that make me a right winger?

I wouldn't let you moderate a GOP debate either

Isn't that cute. You say that as if you really think your opinion matters to anyone.

But but but what about the Constitutional right to interview Trump?

Once again the extremist rightwingers expose their un-Americanism by wanting to censor all legitimate criticism of their new messiah!

Ramos can scream all he wants to about Trump or any other candidates position any time any place BUT not during a press conference.

His behavior was outrageous and unprofessional at the press conference for Trump. He kept interrupting the journalist who had been called on by Trump.

He was a belligerent asshole who only cared about getting screaming headlines for himself.

A fucking diva. Just like Megyn Kelly.

He wanted a confrontation. Ramos was surprised that Trump had no qualms about giving him what he wanted.

Trump bitch slapped him good.

No. You are wrong. A press conference isn't a free for all where activist journalists get to pontificate and denounce a candidates viewpoint.

That's fucking insane.

It means that as a certified member of the press he has a right to attend press conferences. If denied access to a press conference the person or people will be exposed as being anti free press. Trump should forbid folks like Kelly or Ramos from attending his events. Anyone who might asks him hard questions or not treat him the way he thinks he is entitled to be treated should not be allowed to be journalist covering a Presidential election. Lets see how that will work.

Well the truth is finally out there. Ramos truly believes that it is the job of journalists to denounce a candidates position that they don't agree with.

For him it is Trump at the moment and Trump's position on immigration. Now we've witnessed the media far too long try to sabotage albeit covertly Republican candidates and their policy positions.

At least now Ramos the radical whack job has laid it on the line. Journalists are to attack policies they don't like.

This to me is a throwing down of a gauntlet and all Republican candidates should respond with a mega 'FUCK YOU' and ban any activist journalist who behaves like Ramos from pressers and interviews.

And as conservatives we have to take this one step further. One more attack on a Republican candidates position like the bullshit Ramos pulled on Trump, conservatives have to attack not only the journalist but the media outlet they represent and go after their advertisers like there is no tomorrow.

Bottom line, Ramos and his ilk have gone on for too long without any serious push back.

It is time to punish them. Truly punish them as hard as we can.

"Jorge Ramos: The Job of Journalists Is to 'Denounce' Trump's Positions
By Scott Whitlock

Fresh from his confrontation with Donald Trump on Tuesday night, activist reporter Jorge Ramos appeared on ABC and CBS to pitch the idea that it's the job of journalists to openly oppose the candidate's positions.

On Good Morning America, Wednesday, he asked colleague George Stephanopoulos, "We have to denounce that he wants to deny citizenship to children being born here."

He added, "They're citizens, just like [Trump's children], and it is impossible to build a 1900-mile wall... So that's the kind of questions that I was asking Mr. Trump."

Of course, those were statements and not questions. Lobbying for more subjectivity in the press, Ramos declared, "...I think the best journalism happens when you take a stand... We are not only required, but we are forced to take a stand."

Go fuck yourself you liberal whack job Ramos.

Unfortunately today many journalists would rather make the news than report the news.

Big change from journalists of the past who merely reported the news. Which is what they were supposed to be doing then and now.

Edward R. Murrow and Walter Cronkite are just two examples of aggressive journalist of the past. Who were those guys that exposed Watergate and who were the ones that helped uncover Iran Contra.
Trump tells lies every day. It will take aggressive journalist to make him answer for those lies. Today he should be made to explain his claim that "blacks" are supporting him and "love" him. He also needs to tell us who these many great constitutional lawyers are that support his ideas about bypassing the 14th Amendment. And why did he claim he did not know Jorge Ramos? The list goes on.

Yes he does, but what he doesn't have the right to do start asking questions before his name is called. He asked for it. You don't get to mount an ambush like that.

Journalists who waited their turn in press conferences.

f denied access to a press conference the person or people will be exposed as being anti free press.

Trump is like a parent who puts their kid in the corner, saying "I'll let you out in 10 minutes if you promise to behave." Trump did just that, he let him back in.

Trump should forbid folks like Kelly or Ramos from attending his events. Anyone who might asks him hard questions or not treat him the way he thinks he is entitled to be treated should not be allowed to be journalist covering a Presidential election. Lets see how that will work.

There's no need to be snide. Heaven forbid we actually let real journalists in the room to ask the questions.

If Trump's inexperienced conference organizers did not come out and address the journalist before the press conference got started as to the type of conference it would be, explain the forum, set the rules and protocol, etc., Ramos had every right to assume an open questioning forum of first come first serve. It happens every day and the loudest and first journalist to ask the questions are the ones that get coverage for their agencies.
Trump mishandled the situation. All he had to do was what all other speakers at these events do. Politely ask for one question at a time. Trump had that bossy attitude and an agenda with the particular reporter and news agency.

But, what about tolerance? Are you advocating conservative intolerance for journalists who ask your favorite candidate tough questions? You want to suppress his freedom of speech? You're going to attack the media outlet and "go after their advertisers like there is no tomorrow"? Are conservatives "fascists"? ... because that's the conduct that PoliticalChic argues is fascist.

Nonsense. Cronkite was considered a leftist after his 1968 Vietnam commentary, but people knew his leanings before that. He was far from being an idiot. The guy saw more war in his lifetime than most career soldiers. He landed with the troops at Normandy and covered WWll on the battlefields.

who said he was offended?..you did...you're spreading partisan propaganda...again..

No disruptions will be tolerated. civilized people understand that there are rules for correct behavior in public.
Sit down, shut up, wait your turn.
trump obviously isn't afraid to answer questions..he let him back in and spent several minutes ONLY talking to him..just another "activist" with an agenda exposed..not worth another word.

You're confusing me. Are you for or against tolerance? Are you for or against political correctness?
