Ray Rice Is having his life assaulted by NFL!

He beat her down. If he lost control like that once he can do it again.

Society in general, and the NFL in particular, has no business rewarding that behavior. He should be behind bars, whether his wife presses charges or not.

Putting him in prison won't prevent him from losing control again.

If she did the same to me I might have reacted as he did.

But I have a clean criminal record.

The young man made a mistake.

Answer me this: Taking him out of his only profession and making him live as best he can with his non-football playing job skills is more likely or less likely to push him toward a life of crime?

First of all, do you really think this is going to be a lifetime ban? He'll play again one day, maybe in another league and not making millions , but Ray Ray isn't going to end up at McDonalds.

Felonious assault, his ass should be in prison.

Maybe you just want a Black man to behave like a White man.

That's racist, isn't it?
Apparently it is not possible for Black men to behave like White men or Asians.
Put it down to the scientifically proven fact that generally speaking Blacks have a 10-15 point lower IQ than Whites or Asians. Hence the endemic violence among Blacks. Shit man they can't even stop themselves from beating their own bought and paid for whores.

what you all are not getting is he was charged. As a first offender, he was allowed to be placed in a diversionary program. If he stays out of trouble and completes the program then the charges will be expunged from his record. They did not drop the charges.

March 27: Rice is indicted by an Atlantic County grand jury on a charge of third-degree aggravated assault. The charge against Palmer is dropped. The Ravens issue a statement: "This is part of the due process for Ray. We know there is more to Ray Rice than this one incident."
March 28: Rice and Palmer marry.
May 1: Rice pleads not guilty to aggravated assault and applies for a program for first-time offenders that could clear him of charges in one year.
May 20: Rice is accepted into the diversionary program.

[N]or shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb . . . ."[44]

The Double Jeopardy Clause encompasses four distinct prohibitions: subsequent prosecution after acquittal, subsequent prosecution after conviction, subsequent prosecution after certain mistrials, and multiple punishment in the same indictment.[45]

Liberals are emotionally oriented and are subject to acting on their emotions rather than from their logic.

I agree. They are punishing Rice again for the same charge & excessively punishing him & his wife. This should not be an issue unless Rice commits another offense.

Let's be clear.

She was knocked out when she hit her head on the handrail.

He didn't beat her down, as such.

He hit her, she fell and hit her head, which K.O.'ed her.

Then he dragged her from the elevator and showed absolutley no concern for her as she is laying on the floor.

He nudged her with his foot.. didnt even bend over to see if she was ok.

You are judging him from your Judge Judy "White" Chair, I'll bet!

Oh, so you'd impose EXTRA judicial punishments than even the courts would be allowed to impose.

Got it.

Let's get real.
Within the professional Black athlete community they can a do basically anything they want to anybody.
In another time and place they'd be cleaning toilets IF they even had the brains to do that.
Let them assault their whores. The whores are there for the diamonds and free shit. All they need to do is be willing to give a BJ on command and take a beating whenever the 'roids' kick in too much.
No money? You ain't gonna have no whores. Rice will be jacking off in a watermelon this time next year.

You remind me of a simple minded, angry little man.
And you remind me of the father who would sit back and do nothing after his own daughter had been assaulted.
Chicken shit coward.

I wouldn't like getting raped in prison even after my daughter's assailant was given probation and my daughter married the prick.

Maybe you would.

To each his own.

So, go ahead and get yourself thrown in prison.

If someone assaulted my daughter like he did his g/f, there would be no probation. They MIGHT find where I buried him and move him to a cematary, but that is the best he could hope for.

I can understand the emotion behind that course of action but think about what would be SURE to happen as a result of your actions.

Not worth it to me.

I lost a family member to a violent, in the heat of passion, murder.

If I killed the perp it would ruin my life and negatively affect the rest of my family.

And accomplish what?

Give me an emotional 'high' or a sense of justice?

It would be a hollow gesture as it won't bring back my loved one. And the murderer will have victimized us once again AND WITH MY ASSISTANCE!!!

And usually, the state imposes a sentence the survivors can live with.

If some man ever harmed one of my daughters, to be honest, they'd never find the body , nor even be able to prove he was dead. He would just "go away"

The victim (now his wife) is defending him.....If she doesn't care, why should we?
What confuses me is who has charged Ray with assault? The woman he is alleged to have assaulted married him shortly after the incident in the elevator. Did she say he assaulted her? If she says they were roughhouse playing and she slipped, fell, and was knocked out the worst that could come of it is a charge of disorderly conduct by both parties -- but only if the Casino chose to make that charge.

Did Ray sink his own boat by already admitting to too many individuals that he assaulted her? Even if he did it's not too late to withdraw that and for both to say it was all just playful misconduct. It really depends on what she says. No complaint, no charge.
Ya. The surveillance tape definitely shows her "slipping".
Like the surveillance tape shows 'Big Mike' actually just brushing a piece of lint off the little store clerks shirt.
You are stupid.
Calm your adolescent indignation.

I understand your feelings in this matter but you need to understand that defending Ray Rice is not my concern here. I am interested only in the legal process.

My feelings toward Rice are much the same as yours. But there are some important components of this case I am confused about -- such as the fact that the subject of Rice's alleged assault married him shortly after this incident became public. The big question is has she also signed a criminal complaint against him? If not, who is charging him with assault? And what is the supportive evidence?

The video is not conclusive. If his (now) wife chooses to make this go away all she needs to say is what the video shows is horseplay in which she slipped and fell and was accidentally knocked out and that is the end of the story -- unless she already has signed a criminal complaint.

Do you know the answer to that question? Or is your thinking guided by your categorical loathing for Rice and his type? If so you should keep in mind that the same system of Law that affects Rice could affect you. So give some thought to the following:

"Whoever would make his own liberty secure must guard even his most despised countryman from oppression by government. For if he ignores this sacred duty he thus establishes a precedent which someday will surely reach to himself." (Thomas Paine)

Allow me to answer.

The laws on domestic abuse have changed. The abused person's consent is no longer required to press charges. I believe that is universal in every state.

Mike, this is not a legal case. Basically this is a private contract issue. I am sure that the NFL was a "morals" clause in his contract which allows them to fire him if his conduct tends to reflect poorly on the NFL, which is exactly the contract that Hollywood stars signed for about 60 years. Check with Pete Rose. He knows all about it.

Jimmy Hoffa disappeared on the day of my ETS from the US Army.

He just "went away".

The worst part is that Rice's biatch will cower and do whatever she can to save her sinking ship because at the end of the day money is the most important thing in the trophy ho's life.

I have daughters, too, so I do understand your instinctual feelings. But in the Ray Rice example we cannot ignore the fact that the woman he allegedly assaulted has voluntarily attached herself to him -- as is the situation in the vast majority of these man-beats-woman events.

Again in the Rice example, not only has the woman attached herself to him she has chosen to remain attached to him. Which should tell you something.

The underlying psychological dynamics in many of these domestic assault situations occur at a level most of us are incapable of fully comprehending. Even the principals, themselves, do not understand what motivates their behavior.
