Yeah, Democrats said the same thing in 1980, 1984, 1988, 2000, and 2004....I also seem to remember Democrats crowing about "a permanent majority" in congress for the next 20 years back in 2009...how'd that one work out? Democrats new "permanent majority" lost the House in 2010 and are about to lose the Senate here in 2014......maybe the permanent majority is still there, it's just pausing, like global warming?
