Rectal feeding by the CIA in torture scandal

rehydration per anum------is a well documented and excellent therapy -----forced feeding always looks like torture---whether by NG tube or via rectum---------One can conjecture that persons who were doing the "hunger strike" thing----experience either or both
"'CIA medical officers discussed rectal rehydration as a means of behavior control,' the report reads. 'As one officer wrote, ‘[w]hile IV infusion is safe and effective, we were impressed with the ancillary effectiveness of rectal infusion on ending the water refusal in a similar case.'

"In other words, while using a saline drip delivered via IV worked just as well, the CIA found that detainees were more likely to end resistance after the use of rectal rehydration."

Sounds like a page from Mossad's book of terror.

CIA Used Rectal Feeding As Part Of Torture Program - BuzzFeed News

The operative word here is SAFE------rectal infusion is
a LOT safer than an IV --------it is used thruout the third
world for infectious dysentery----because it is SAFE AND
EFFECTIVE-------life saving in india. Resistent patients
regularly rip IV's out------and also manage to regularly
develope sepsis from them-------gee you are clueless

Interestingly---the best way to rehydrate is BY MOUTH----
assuming that the patient is happy to drink

It said "without DOCUMENTED MEDICAL NECESSITY"
you are a pathetic reader------

So you think that these guys were on hunger strike, and it just wasn't documented anywhere? You think that doctors were administering invasive medical procedures without any documentation?

an enema is not an INVASIVE MEDICAL PROCEDURE----in fact----neither is a naso gastric lavage for poisoning----or for
rehydration of a HUNGER STRIKE person

nurses can do it. anyone can do it. documented where?----are the medical records included in the evidence?

bullshit-------of course---that is what people like you say
about nasogastric tubes
"Other detainees were subjected to 'mock burials,' and were kept in small boxes in which they were unable to move for hours at a time.

"One prisoner, Gul Rahman, was forced to take 'ice water baths' and was then 'held partially nude and chained to a concrete floor' until he died of hypothermia.

"One of the officers responsible for Rahman’s death was then given a 'cash award' of $2,500 by the CIA for his 'constantly superior work.'

"According to the report summary, 'CIA officers also threatened at least three detainees with harm to their families—to include threats to harm the children of a detainee, threats to sexually abuse the mother of a detainee, and a threat to ‘cut [a detainee’s] mother’s throat.'

Does that sound kosher?

It sounds to me like they were EMULATING AL NABI----
do you know what "kus emak" means? I would be
very surprised if that slur was NOT thrown at the guards
dozens of times every day-------if one of the guards finally
threw it back--------well----sounds like something that would
happen in any county jail in the USA.

Long ago I treated a cook-----she worked in one of the large
jails in my city-------she told me she joked all the time with
the prisoners and told them she urinated in the soup-----
(well ---she said "pissed" ) -------you have never visited a
jail? I have never treated a handcuffed person who
did not insist he had been BRUTALLY BRUTALIZED

You need an education before you continue further.

I am quite educated------my mom did not have to have an MD to
administer an enema. Invasive procedures require an MD or semi equivalent degree ---(like DO ) Here is a good clue for a wannabee educated person like you--------the gastrointestinal tract from mouth to anus-----is-----anatomically OUTSIDE OF THE BODY ----phlebotomy----which does "get in" sorta----is not considered an invasive procedure either-----but anatomically it is

more help for you-----developementally------persons are TUBES----from mouth to anus is the inside of the tube-----the substance of the tube is the Human body

"Invasive procedures require an MD or semi equivalent degree"

100% false. I worked in a hospital while I was earning my Bachelors Degree. I did invasive procedures all the time.

(btw: If you really are well educated, you don't have to tell people. They will be able to tell.)

really? what "invasive procedures" did you do in the absence of
the supervision of a physician or surgeon? things like-----opened heart surgery?-------inserting a thermometer into a baby's ass is not an invasive procedure (but those old rectal thermometers are not used anymore anyway)

"The report summary details how the CIA hired two doctors, James Mitchell and Bruce Jessen (identified in the report by the pseudonyms, Grayson Swigert and Hammond Dunbar), to develop a method of torture whereby prisoners could be reduced to a state of physical and mental devastation.

"The doctors based their recommendations on the theory of 'learned helplessness,’ in which individuals might become passive and depressed in response to adverse or uncontrollable events.'

"According to the report summary, Mitchell and Jessen 'received $81 million' from the CIA for their services.

"Moreover, 'in 2007, the CIA provided a multi-year indemnification agreement to protect [Swigert and Dunbar’s company] and its employees from legal liability arising out of the program.'”

Yeah? that's what incarceration is------helplessness-----people are LOCKED up-----and told what to do and when to do it-----
they are helpless.--------it makes them depressed. There are
THOUSANDS OF STUDIES on helplessness------ever learn about the EXECUTIVE MONKEY experiments?. These theories have been batted around for a very long time------I heard about the in undergraduate school----long before I declared a major---
general liberal arts person. Of course ----incarceration itself is
TORTURE----what else is new?
