More to the point, Clinton wasn't under any obligation to pay her at all.

Judge Susan Weber-Wright dismissed Jones' lawsuit for cause. Because she was not a direct report, and because she suffered no career detriment for refusing Clinton's supposed advances, the issue of whether or not Clinton propositioned her was irrelevant.

Clinton agreed to pay her instead of spending years going through the appeals process (which had been complicated after the dunderheaded Ellerth v. Burlington decision.)

I'm relatively indifferent to the adultery.

I don't understand how someone could be married to a supermodel and then feel the need to fuck a porn star. I couldn't imagine anyone wanting to fuck a porn star.

Here's the thing. Ted Kennedy never got to be president because of Chappaquidick. Bill Clinton was impeached and paid millions in legal fees and settlements. There was accountability.
